I'm going to re-link my old post I made back when the Episode 4 trailer was released, as a reminder - it is hard enough for deaf and hearing impaired people to play this game, especially when it comes to serious group contents like raids - at least don't let us miss out on trailer videos and such.

I'm not expecting Anet to caption all of those Guild Chat and whatever livestreaming videos they have, as Dulfy and other community members already do that for us too - but at least, these short 1-3 minutes long trailers should have subtitles.

Expansion 2 Speculation

What we know:

Expansion 2 is being developed by a team entirely independent of the Living World Season 3 teams.

There are only two episodes left (5 and 6) of Season 3. The announcement of Heart of Thorns followed the finale of Season 2.

Heart of Thorns is now being sold at the 29.99 price point.

A a leak pointed to a smaller expansion focused on content rather than features.

That same leak also pointed to a lower price point for the next expansion.

Last we heard from ArenaNet, they said that they plan to include the base game and previous expansions in any future expansions.

Speculation:

Expac 2 will be announced with the finale with Season 3 or shortly after.

Development of Season 4 will begin as Season 3 ends while the Expac 2 devs finish up their content.

Expac 2 will be sold at the 29.99 price point and include the base game and HoT. Players who purchased HoT and buy Expac 2 will receive a free character slot or something.

While they announced the expansion separately from starting pre-purchases in HoT. Expac 2's announcement will also start the pre-purchase period. In other words, when they announce Expac 2 you will only be be able to buy Expac 2 which will include HoT.

While Heart of Thorns was announced and released 9 months later. Expac 2 will be announced and released 3-4 months later.

Expac 2 will be released fall 2017. Season 4 will begin January/February 2018.

Log into the game before the 2nd of May to unlock Living Story Season 3 Episode 4 for free if you haven't already. If you have not unlocked it by the 2nd, you will have to buy it with gems in order to play it. The Episode will be unlocked on your account by just logging into the game.

You will not be able to play the Episode without the Expansion, but it will be free for you when/if you buy Heart of Thorns.

Most of the maps have little replay value. I think adding rare collections will extend the life of these maps and give us open world players something to do.

Few weeks ago our little group of clowns came together and started doing reset fractals, and it happened the way it had to when a circus arises: they achieve a C L O W N F I E S T A ( ͡° ͜◯ ͡°)

It was obviously not a perfect run, for example one of our Eles missed the respawn button before Siax due to weapon swapping and our Druid was stuck on staff instead of shortbow for the last boss, but overall it was a decent run that we wanted to share!

On a side-note: A time sub 10 minutes is probably do-able without the mistakes and an overall faster time during the events after MAMA, but it was already pretty late so we stopped trying.

How We Get To Elona

The newly released Hourglass Staff skin has the following inscription:

"This ancient staff was thought lost in the fall of Quora Sum. Its sands count the hours until impending doom."

If you take a look at the wiki for Quora Sum, you'll find this:

In Guild Wars: Eye of the North, Quora Sum may have been where players first encountered Vekk and Ogden as they made their escape from the Destroyers.

Anyone who played Eye of the North in GW1 may remember the introductory quest, which had you enter a newly created opening in the ground. One place this quest could be initiated was Istan in Elona, and the player would enter a fissure opened up in the Plains of Jarin.

With this in mind, since Kralkatorrik is blocking the Crystal Desert and the deep sea dragon is blocking the Unending Ocean, I think there's a pretty good chance that we'll find passage to Elona via Quora Sum for the next expansion. In GW1 we reached northern Tyria via underground cavern from Elona, so why not the other way around?

Obviously Primordus and the destroyers will be an issue, but I feel like that will end up being cleared up over the next 2 chapters of the living story.

Where do you believe we're going?

Based on the trailer, the color of the water and general atmosphere, I don't feel like we'll be in the Fire Island chain again.

The environmental clues suggest that we'll be headed somewhere with the following qualities: Jungle atmosphere, significant water quantities, partially underground.

My speculation would be either the location between Rata Sum and The Grove, or, more significantly, the section just east of Tangled Depths.

Based on even more gross speculation of the trailer, there's plenty of (current) Rata Novus locations, despite some minor alterations such as new machinery or the scenic addition of fire. There's also mention of being "trapped" there. If you want to read into things more than we should, it could imply we're going to be visiting the rest of Rata Novus, as well as the surrounding area to the east.

Hello,

Iam8bit is a official merchandise partner for GW2 and this is why I post in this subreddit.

I was trying to Order a GW2 Vinyl and the total Shipping is 70$ from UK to Germany. As a person who sometimes buys stuff from uk this price is huge. (Are you buying a real airline ticket for a human and then place the vinyl on its chair?) but this is ok, as I don't have to buy it.

The price gets higher when I want to add a quaggan because the packaging changes. But this is also ok. Somehow logical but this price?

Then I made some research in twitter/Reddit/Facebook and there are mostly angered customers in the last 2 years.

Why Is ANet allowing such a bad company selling their Item ? this is some bad advertising and a joke in my opinion. Merchandise is only for the very rich and I dislike this.

What is your opinion and what have you paid for your last shipment?

Update: I only get dhl express as a choice when ordering more than 3 things -> price is 67$. When ordering less than 3 -> price is 26$ and I am fine with this.

I was complaining about the price a bit, you are right but my question is: Why has anet chosen such an unreliable partner?

Missing the Lion Arch
