Era leaves Fnatic!

Era has been one of the longest-serving players in Dota 2, having joined Fnatic in February 2012 and playing for them first in HoN and then Dota 2. With hundreds of competitive games to his name, he has finally parted ways with his long-time organisation to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
Era's departure from Fnatic comes as no huge surprise to most fans after the drama surrounding his availability to play on The International 4, which saw a flurry of communications between Era, Fnatic and Valve that was made public through Reddit and the Dota Blog. At the same time, it also caused problems for the rest of the Fnatic Dota 2 squad. They had been training with their stand-in, Xcalibur, for quite some time, and had attended both The Summit and ESL One, two LAN tournaments with him. It appears inevitable that changes would have to be made for the European squad after failing to make it into even the top 10 at The International 2014.

Adrian "Era" Kryeziu

It's been a long and awesome run with the guys, but unfortunately everything comes to an end sooner or later. I'm leaving Fnatic in order to see what else there is out there, hopefully I'll be continuing in the same track at least, but who knows what will happen! Thanks to the rest of the team and our fans after all these years, I'll see you all around!

Sahil Deva, Fnatic Dota 2 Manager:

I have had the honour of spending this hectic 2014 summer season, since this year’s Dreamhack Bucharest all the way till The International 4, working with and getting to know Adrian. It’s been an incredible few months and while I am sad to see him go, I do believe this is the best decision for everyone involved. Adrian will be an amazing asset to any team he chooses to play with.

You’re a fantastic player and person and I wish you all the best, Adrian, in whatever you choose to do.

Current Fnatic Roster:

  • Kai 'H4nn1' Hansbueckers
  • Kalle 'Trixi' Saarinen
  • Johan 'BigDaddy' Sundstein (n0tail)
  • Tal 'Fly' Azik
