You can create your own faction to influence the wasteland. What would it be like?

Here's mine:

Basically Mr. House's faction, but I'd be Mr. House. There would also be a few changes to make it less of a dictatorship and more of a democracy.

I'd lead an army of upgraded Securitrons, my focus being on having them patrol areas and kill any hostiles. Having them as my main enforcers would be very beneficial, as they could be easily replaced and human lives lost could be kept to a minimum. I'd also make deals with local caravans - they give me caps, and in return, I'd send out of a few of my robots to guard them as they travel.

I would peacefully annex settlements, then sending out Securitrons to guard them against undesirables. I would see to it that trade routes were established between them.

I'd rule the area, but I'd have a circle of advisors. They would consist of representatives from the towns I'd own. They'd help me make decisions, as well as give me updates. These updates would include happenings in their respective settlements or potential threats that I could deal with them before they became issues. When an advisor leaves or dies, an election would be held among the people to install a new one into the position.

In an ideal situation, I would live forever in my human body by taking something like the Mysterious Syrum. I'd rather not have a set-up like House, because that would make things like movement rather limited for me, and, if I was ever under attack, I'd be relying completely on my guards to protect me while I sit there in danger.

Who else loves the soundtrack of Fallout 1?

Hands down, it has to be the best soundtrack of the entire saga, I get chills everytime I'm playing New Vegas and "Metallic Monks" or "City of the Death" plays. If I play any of those songs for too long I quit playing New Vegas and jump back to Fallout 1.

A homeless man with a scavengers cart flagged down my friend in Denver last night and asked him what this thing was. After attempting to explain it to the cart-man, my friend offered to buy it off of him for $20. The scavenger accepted the offer and my friend gave it to me for my birthday today. Perception bug absolutely destroying my build :/

Greetings friends! Finally got around to playing Far Harbor and boy am I having a blast. This DLC blows the main game out of the water.

The problem I'm having is that I'm running a high luck VATS build but I noticed I wasn't able to hit anything anymore. This makes it almost impossible to build up my crit, which is the entire point of the build.

I noticed my perception is randomly stuck at (-1) instead of the usual 7 so that has to be it. I searched around for a fix but all results relating to this bug are YEARS old. I tried reloading an old save and crippling and healing my head but no dice.

Plz help. Before this I was having a ball moving down everything with .44 pistol crits. Thanks!

In the fallout shelter app, when paying for a new room, why do vault tech take bottle caps as valid currency? Like shouldn’t they not do that since caps is more wasteland currency and there government founded or whatever so??? What’s the deal. Or am I just nuts?

New Vegas itself was the worst part of FNV

New Vegas is an amazing game,but I'm really unsastsfied with the "city" itself. I wish North Vegas,Freeside,etc. we're part of New Vegas with the neon paradise-ish atmosphere,instead of neighboring slums. It felt less like the urban paradise it was made out to be,and more like a few nice buildings on a street surrounded by a hellhole. I know this problem is because of time restriction on FNV's development,but it still bothers me.

What do you believe are the "canon" followers on the series?

First of all, I would like to emphasize the quotation marks, since there isn't an officially canon Courier/Vault Dweller/Sole Survivor and you decide their endings and how to achieve it.

What Im asking is who are the followers that were clearly given a bigger focus either on the main quest, on promotional materials and how fleshed out they are.

For example, for Fallout 4 Dogmeat was the first character shown on the teaser for the game, and you can find him really early (only after Codsworth). On New Vegas on my opinion the "canon" follower is ED-E, since you get the last DLC having him as a obligatory follower and he gets the most perks with it. Other one is Cass, since she has by far the most dialogue amongst them.

What are your opinions regarding this?

Can I remove mods without worrying about losing save data

I have had a mod for a while and it has been glitchy but I have put up with it for a week(its a texture mod for hangman's ally settlement), I finally found a better one and want to uninstall the first one. If I uninstall it will I lose the progress i made in the game while that mod was installed?

Thought this was interesting and worth noting; Vicarious Visions haven't just given Bungie a hand delivering Warmind from a technical/production perspective, but their Narrative Designer has been writing Warmind's story for the last year.

We'll see for sure in six hours, but this should mean a pretty different tone from Destiny 2's relentless onslaught of humour and Curse of Osiris' general... dullness. Really looking forward to seeing what they deliver, it'll be fun to see what a team other than Bungie do with Destiny.

PvE

  • Changes to outgoing player damage scaling vs. higher-level combatants

    • Higher-level combatants take longer to kill if you're below their level
    • Increased the outgoing and incoming damage scaling, from capping at a 40 Power level delta to a 50 Power level delta
    • Over-level combatants continue to increase in difficulty up to 50 Power levels above the player
    • When enemies are 50 Power levels or higher above a player, they will be immune to damage
    • Over-level, immune combatants will display a "??" icon in their nameplate
    • Updated the damage dealt to combatant Energy shields from the following weapon damage types:
    • 3x damage dealt from Energy weapons of a matching damage type
    • 2x damage dealt from Energy weapons of a nonmatching damage type

Strikes

  • Heroic strikes now feature rotating modifiers:

    • At any given time, the following will be active on the Heroic strikes playlist:
    • 1x Elemental Burn (weekly rotation)
    • 1x Advantage (daily rotation)
    • 1x Disadvantage (daily rotation)
    • In addition to the above, the baseline difficulty of Heroic strikes is boosted to be closer to Nightfall difficulty
  • Legendary Nightfall Strike Challenge Card

    • Can be obtained from Xûr (at no cost) by replacing your Rare Challenge Card
    • The Legendary tier adds additional slots for new Advantages and Disadvantages
  • Fixed an issue in which scoring did not add points for killing the bosses in the Nightfall strikes "A Garden World" and "Savathûn's Song"

  • Fixed an issue where the Nightfall score summary was only displaying kills since last death

  • Now displays the score for entire activity completion

  • Fixed an issue in which the Unbroken Challenge completed for all fireteam members even if the clear criteria had not been met

  • Fixed an issue where strike scoring granted points for players in public bubbles, Lost Sectors, or other unintended areas

Raid

  • Weekly lockouts for raid rewards are now class-based

  • Players running multiple instances of the same class will receive rewards only the first time they run the raid in a week

Tower

  • Seasonal Ranks are now available for the Vanguard, Crucible, Trials of the Nine, and Iron Banner

  • Increased Vault size from 200 items to 300 items

  • Fixed an issue with collections where event emblems would not show up unless players owned Curse of Osiris

  • Fixed an issue where Cayde-6 refused to offer all three Treasure Maps for Mercury


Items and Economy

General

  • Milestones now award a more balanced distribution of Exotics between weapons and armor, but overall they award Exotics less often than before

  • Fixed an issue where powerful engrams could not draw from Exotics released at Destiny 2 launch

  • Fixed an issue where the first powerful engram opened after each sign-in was guaranteed to produce an Exotic

  • Fixed an issue with slow load times for Uncommon gear

  • Mods and shaders can now be dismantled from the Item Details screen

  • Items can now be dismantled from the Postmaster and the Vault

  • Season 2 Exotic Ghost Shells that use destination perks now have a chance to have Hellas Basin destination perks when initially awarded

Character Inventory

  • Created a "Pursuits" category in the character inventory to contain pursuit tracking items, such as those associated with Exotic quests

    • Items in the Pursuits category are specific to each character and not shared across the account

Eververse

  • Players now may receive one Bright Engram per character (account limit of three) from Tess for the seasonal milestone

  • Increased the number of items available for purchase via Bright Dust from 14 to 18

  • Additional slots will feature shaders and transmat effects

  • Fixed an issue where players could purchase bundles or engrams when their inventory and Postmaster were full

  • Fixed an issue where items rewarded from Eververse Gleaming Boons would not display the correct icon within the Postmaster screen

  • Added the Prismatic Matrix to Eververse

    • At launch, 10 Eververse items from Season 3 are featured each week that the Prismatic Matrix is available
    • An account's first well-rested level-up each week grants one Prismatic Facet, allowing one free use of the Prismatic Matrix
    • Players may hold up to three Prismatic Facets at a time
    • Additional activations may be purchased for 200 Silver each
    • This item inventory is based on a knockout list and will not drop duplicates
    • Items earned via Bright Engrams, Bright Dust, or previous Matrix activations will contribute to the knockout list

Clans

Progression

  • A new set of clan perks is available for you to earn in Season 3

  • A new Clan Banner Staff has been rewarded to those who hit clan rank 6 in Season 2

Clan Engrams

  • Trials of the Nine and raid clan engrams no longer grant Trials of the Nine or raid weapons

    • These now grant Crucible and Vanguard rewards
  • Clan Engrams no longer grant rewards above the player's level when reaching 340 Power

    • The Nightfall and Crucible clan engrams will grant rewards up to 340 Power

Guided Games

  • A new set of Guided Games tickets has been granted to all players

  • Players can earn a Leviathan Guide emblem that tracks the number of raid encounters and raids they complete as a Guide

  • The emblem rewards an aura for 14 days when completing a raid as a Guide

  • Once a week while the aura is active, guiding a raid to completion grants a Bright Engram


Crucible

General

  • Private Matches are now available to all players

  • Players must own Curse of Osiris or Warmind to play maps from those respective releases in Private Matches

  • Added a Crucible ranking system (see details here)

  • Added a fireteam matchmaking system (see details here)

Maps

  • Curse of Osiris and Warmind maps are now available to all players in matchmade Crucible playlists

  • New Warmind maps: Meltdown and Solitude

We tested your Iron Banner 6 vs 6, and we love it. As a PVP player i can say that i am satisfied with the results of 6 vs 6. With the release of Warmind, i think it's time for you to consider a permanent 6 vs 6 playlist.

We tested 4 vs 4 enough to know it doesn't work, and we tested 6 vs 6 enough to know that it works. We care about your game as much as you do(?), and i think the community is ready for a 6 vs 6 playlist.

Don't wait till the next DLC, it may be too late. When the Iron Banner playlist is up, all i see are returning crucible friends returning to the game, and it's not because it's Iron Banner, but because it's 6 vs 6, and we love Crucible 6 vs 6 so much!

Why it Should be added:

Because with everything else in the game being buffed, three hit melee seems incredibly out of place. There was nothing wrong with the way it was in D1 and now it feels like you're just tickling people.

Anyone having permission issues for the Warmind DLC? [Xbox]

Our main Xbox is set as my account's home device. Previously, that has allowed everyone else in the house to use all the games and DLC I buy.

This was true for The Division, BF1, SW BF2, the original Destiny and it's expansions, and was true for D2 and CoO. My son was able to log into his account on my machine and access CoO. Warmind, however, appears to be an entirely different beast. It shows up on mine, but when we switch to his account, it says he doesn't have it.

What gives? Is this launch day jitters or has Tess expanded her evil money-grubbing ways once more?

[edit] Judging from the comments, it looks like Bungie killed Game Sharing on Xbox AND PS4.

19 Hours. 151K Clan XP. 0 Hope. The Story of Two Very Determined People and a Clan at Rank 4.

So it was the last week of Season 2. My clan, Colombian Roastmasters, was sitting at Rank 4. I noticed something odd about the weekly Clan XP, before this I had reserved myself to only getting to Rank 5 and not getting the Clan Staff for Season 2, but this week, I noticed there was no cap.

There was not a cap on the website either. The weekly XP was labelled as being (NUMBER)/0. So that got me thinking. Could I get my clan from rank 4 to rank 6, by myself?

So my quest began and the answer became apparent. Alone, no. With another person yes.

So my girlfriend decided to be an insane completionist as well.

This process (with some help from actual clanmates playing a bit as well), took about 18 hours over the past two days.

These were our steps:

Create a new character as it circumvents the 5K Clan XP Cap.

Get to 5K Clan XP on that character.

Delete.

Repeat.

I have about 9 hours of it recorded on stream and the rest of it is lost to time. Warning: I swear like a sailor. (nothing awful but just saying)

I would like to thank Bungie for making a game I can actually play this much and still enjoy myself as well as my girlfriend, Breana, who spent god knows how much time alongside me grinding.

If the mods have a problem with this and consider self-promotion, that's fine but I wanted to have this go out before my bones explode from grinding to death.

Rewards for ranking up Vanguard!

There are rewards for ranking up with Zavala, at level 50 it's an exotic ship.

I think the general consensus is that 6v6 iron banner was a good change. Can we try the old 3v3 trials and elimination next please

The current mode is nowhere near as intense and is honestly a mess. Could go a long way to raising the trial's population. Obviously, it wouldn't be as good or strategic as D1 till we get the changes to the weapon system. But what is there to lose.

Why it Should be added:

Destiny is a game defined by it's replayability, either in the chase for loot, glory or fun. Wouldn't it make sense then to be able to play through the campaign to experience all the work that went into those encounters, as was the case for the first game? The opening siege on the tower and the epic struggle on the almighty are some of the best set pieces in the PvE experience and they are lost after a single run. I know Ikora allows you to replay select missions, but it's a fairly small selection.

Killing an entire fireteam of 6 with a single rocket

Iron Banner 6v6 was awesome! So many fantastic moments.

This was my favorite - tethering an entire team of 6, and then using Sins of the past to finish them off.

Hopefully 6v6 becomes the norm.

How to make the Warsat PE Heroic

There will be 3 closed shriekers around the Warsat, orange bar hive (witch or knight, or both) will appear after a short time, killing them will open up one of the shriekers, destroy it. Kill all 3 shriekers to trigger the heroic version.

Although you might want to stay out of the transmat circle while doing so, in case you complete the normal version before killing all 3.

Patch Note Preview

Released in last weeks This Week at Bungie, here's what we know so far on the upcoming Patch

  • As a short-term solution, Vault space has been increased from 200 to 300 items.

  • Multi-emote is here! You now can configure all four emote options with player-selected emotes. The entire emote collection is now always available to you for convenient swapping. Items in the emote collection have been removed from the Vault, as it's no longer needed.

  • Guided Games will now feature a Leviathan Guide emblem that tracks the number of raid encounters and raids a player has completed as a Guide. This emblem rewards a unique aura for 14 days after a player completes a raid as a Guide. Once a week while the aura is active, guiding a raid to completion grants one Bright Engram.

  • A new inventory category has been created that will contain pursuit tracking items, such as those for Exotic quests. Items in the Pursuits category are specific to each character and not shared across the account.

In-game audio settings (sliders between 1 and 10) were added or revised:

  • SFX Volume
  • Dialogue/Cinematics Volume
  • Music Volume
  • Chat Volume

Weekly lockouts for raid and raid lair rewards are now class-based.

  • Players running multiple characters of the same class will receive rewards only the first time they run the raid or raid lair in a given week.

  • Fixed an issue with collections where event emblems would not show up unless players owned Curse of Osiris.

  • Fixed an issue where players would encounter a black screen upon loading into the Tower.

  • Fixed an issue where Cayde was offering only one treasure map for Mercury.

The full suite of patch notes will be published on May 8 shortly before Warmind becomes available. We're currently targeting a 10 AM release, but stay tuned to @Bungie for announcements.
