The Link figure has been lost for many years but I’ve held on to this tiny Master Sword. I felt my new plant was the perfect home for it.

Zelda does this the best of any franchise I've ever seen.

Whenever a fictional universe introduces more advanced technology, there is always a portion of the fanbase that abhors it.

An example of this I can think of off the top of my head is when the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe introduced technology in The Legend of Korra. Many people were upset with the technology.

In my personal opinion, it's not technology that's the problem. Introducing more advanced technology is perfectly acceptable, as long as it maintains the charm and style of the fantasy world it belongs to, and in my opinion, this is where LOK failed. Hell, advanced technology was introduced even within The Last Airbender itself, and nobody seemed to care, because it was done well.

Getting back to Zelda though, Zelda does the best example of introducing advanced technology to a medieval setting I've ever seen. I think it's extremely creative how civilizations past were more advanced and only fragments of their now-extinct society have remained. Groups of people in Hyrule are able to use these technologies to limited extents based on what they have available to them, and I think it's very well done. It's how you can get away with having a Sheikah Slate, and Guardian robots in middle-aged setting.

About Toon Links Age...

Posted: 05 Sep 2018 09:29 AM PDT

I had previously made a post where I attempted to canonically determine the age of each link. In the post I labeled Toon Link as sixteen plus. (Sixteen being the age of adult Link from OoT) since he possesses the ability to draw the master sword without being held in the Sacred Realm until of age. Of course people disagreed with it so I went to look deeper and I came across the Brawl thropy that states hes twelve but the Brawl wiki says nothing in Brawl is cannon to their individual series, and it was before the Hyrule Historia. After I realized The Sacred Realm isn't mentioned in the Wind Waker at all. This makes me wonder if somthing happened to disconnect the Master Sword from The Sacred Realm or if The Sacred Realm disappeared all together.

Skyward sword and Wiimote Plus

To my understanding I'll need a motion plus controller to play SS on the Wii. Is there also an updated nunchuck too? Or will my original work? Dusting off the Wii for once to play one of the games I unfortunately missed.

Playing Ocarina of Time

Posted: 05 Sep 2018 06:14 AM PDT

About 7 years ago, I bought my first nintendo console. It was the Zelda 25th anniversary 3DS. It came with OoT.

I loved the game. However, it was not helping me on what I was supposed to do. I spent too much time running around trying to trigger something and made my way to the icy place which I assume is the water temple. I gave up after that.

After playing BotW for more than 100 hours, I want to play it again and MM afterwards. I fear I will have the same experience though. Any tips before I start my adventure again?

Wow. Just simply wow.

After owning BotW collectors edition well before I got my switch and then finally getting a switch for Christmas last year from my amazing girlfriend. I just finished BotW and simply wow. The whole experience was fantastic and for once I'm glad they didn't try and make the new Ocarina of Time and made it it's own thing. It was an adventure, a journey and so satisfying. Everything was special and the soundtrack had to be easily the best complete soundtrack of any Zelda game.
