I thought maybe I hadn't been affected by the sound muffling for killers, everyone complaining they can't hear anything and I hadn't noticed it. Now I realize i just never knew what was lost.

I once found a survivor hiding by the hatch, because I thought I had heard the barest breath from their direction. I thought it was meant to be near impossible to hear uninjured breathing. But now I hear all, none can hide.

Is it just me or are there more campers than before? Is it somehow working well with the emblem system?

I have had around 10 games now and all games had camping killers. Some more than others, but at least 5-6 face campers.

Unbroken Emblem

I've been scrolling through the sub and I've been reading some things that confuse me about the Unbroken emblem (previously survival emblem). What people seem to be saying is that this emblem encourages bming the killer and staying in the match longer than needed instead of leaving through the gates.

I recently read a description of the new emblem system and how each emblem is achieved, and from what I understand length alive in game has nothing to do with the survival emblem unless you die.

The webpage states: "Escaping a Trial without being downed results in an Iridescent Quality, while being downed one or more times results in a Gold Quality. If you die in a trial, the Emblem Quality is determined by how long you were alive during the Trial. The maximum Quality that can be obtained that way is Silver."

If this information is correct, the emblem in no way encourages bming the killer and staying too long, unless you plan to die when you have the option to escape for some reason.

In other words; you're guaranteed gold if you escape, and iridescent is only achievable if you haven't been hooked or injured much. In game time DOES NOT affect this emblem UNLESS you are killed.

Please stop spreading misinformation about the new ranking system, this will actually cause people to stay too long and bm the killer thinking it will improve their rating.
