Seriously, they've been knocking it out of the park the past few months. Community days, shiny releases, egg event, weather, gen 3, and now quests/mew on Friday. I know when Pokémon go first came out we had no word from then for months on end and I stopped playing as often, but with all these events going on I'm always ready to play. I just want to thank Niantic for all the work they've put in over the last few months and I hope the pattern continues.

I'm too antisocial to find a decent sized group for raids, so I never got Rayquaza, Kyogre, or other legendaries. Pretty excited about the quests with the Mew battle reward. I still wish they had wild legendaries though...

What can we trainers do to get Niantic to to hear us out on implementing a Pokémon Go Intel Map akin to Ingress’ Intel Map that would show which team is in control (mystic/valor/instinct), which Pokémon are defending it, and raid eggs/bosses?

With /r/TheSilphRoad's latest APK mine, they introduced us to the new loading screen but unfortunately there was a big part missing - party-hat Wurmple. I'm not ready to say goodbye to our favorite Pokémon yet. Wurmple's been the best part of our lives since January and I don't want to see em go.

So, I'm humbly requesting that party-hat Wurmple be added to the /r/pokemongo banner so that they may live on for forever.

Niantic: How We Built the Research Feature

Been playing since the first day with my then girlfriend, now wife, and on two continents now. We've always been the explorer and haven't used any maps, tracking apps, or other "outside the game" features. We've enjoyed the excitement of just finding things.

Along our usual route to work, there's a park with rotating unique species. The flavor of the week is Charmanders (we miss the Magikarp week...). We stop and admire the blooming cherry blossoms while we huck balls at Pokemon during our pre-coffee routine when my wife exclaims a sigh and says a Charmander ran away. We seem to have rotating days of obstinance from Pokemon.

I tap, notice it's pretty high CP, but feed the usual Pinap/Ultra combo I give the starters I like and move on.

However I just feel like appraising this one.

Then I saw Wonder... HP...Attack... Def..... Stats exceed. I was reading this out loud and getting exceedingly dirty look from the wife.

Well I used an IV calculator to confirm it. My first 100% IV catch. It's a lot of fun knowing it's a nice surprise versus just watching a tracker app and I finally had something my wife wanted (her getting Chancy from eggs...).

Looking forward to quests soon and the next community day.

Why can't we see nearby Pokemon at gym pokestops on our list? It makes zero sense.

With more and more Android users reaching Oreo, GPS (11) needs to be addressed

My partner and I really enjoy playing Pokemon Go, and have been for the past few years. Recently he bought a new phone and the Android Oreo update was released. He updated and ever since he is getting constant "GPS Signal not Found (11)" errors. It got to the point we related Android 7.1, magically the errors have gone away.

The Oreo update just hit my Galaxy S8 and, you guessed it, its GPS Error city here for me. Browsing forums, and even this subreddit, it's definitely a known issue. I've submitted feedback to Niantic but this is really hindering our ability to play and enjoy.
