Why do people always act like Ahri is "trash" and "barely playable" as soon as she is not broken anymore? Posted: 16 Feb 2018 06:06 AM PST By reading comments on Reddit you would be expecting Ahri to have like a 45% winrate or sth. https://lolalytics.com/ranked/worldwide/platinum/plus/champion/Ahri/ 51% winrate with 7% playrate. This is more than ok and definitely not weak, let alone "barely playable". I know lots of the delusional Ahri mains are used to her 53-55% winrate state which she kept for almost 2 years but let's be real here, there are so many champions who need buffs more than Ahri. It really pisses me off that Riot is already looking to buff her just because of the countless Ahri fangirls on Reddit. Even disregarding the fact that she is totally fine right now, a champion that safe and easy to play should not receive buffs in general without nerfs to other areas of her kit. People complain her dmg is low (which is admittedly true) but you cannot buff her dmg without removing atleast some part of mobility and safety from her kit. Good start would be to only grant her the MS bonus on her Q if she hits a champion with it, then you can maybe rework her W into a more interesting ability with some meaningful damage. I remember in the challenger series, teams used to be called CLG Black, Cloud 9 Tempest, etc. That added a bit of flair to them and it just seemed to add a little color to the league. It's kinda like how minor league teams in baseball are affiliated with the major league teams, but have their own mascots and team flair. Thoughts? League isn't always toxic, actually really helped me today. Posted: 16 Feb 2018 02:15 AM PST I know this probably won't get anywhere, but I thought i'd share. I know League has a reputation for having a toxic community, but it's not always that way. I was having a really rough night, I went to some parties with some friends, and ended up crashing at my place with my best friend and two girls, all super hammered at this point. One of the girls crashed, and my best friend ended up hooking up with the girl I was with tonight in my basement. Triggered as all hell and depressed as fuck, I went up to my room and decided I'd play a game of league before bed. In that game, I said "for the record smashed as shit and having a bad night." both my support and the jungler asked what was going on, and I typed it out to them and they were really nice and supportive, just asking what happened, saying I'll get past this and that tonight doesn't define the future. While it might not seem like a lot, the things they said made me feel a lot better and stopped me from doing some stupid shit afterwards. I guess the TLDR is you don't always know what's going on in someone else's life behind the screen, and what you say in game really could have an impact on someone else's life. That jungler and support really made my night better, and the League community could really use more people like that.
