| Posted: 31 Dec 2017 08:58 AM PST So I'm new to this game and I'm currently experiencing multiple hordes roaming into my base. So far there have been three and it started on day 9. The first one came from the north, was like 10 strong and I was able to remain undetected and the worst they did was some got caught on my log spikes. The next one that showed up also came from the north, was like 6 strong, and I killed them off. Now its day 10 and like 3AM and another group of like 4 just showed up from the south and I quit the game to post this. So I have to ask if this is normal or if Im unlucky as hell. I do have my forge running so that kay be the reason but these hordes only recently just started and have had the thing running for a while. I'm worried that if I'm out in the wild that I will get attacked by these hordes and today is dog day so I'm scared I will die out there. tldr: Hordes keep roaming into my base, days 9-10 forge is running. | Posted: 31 Dec 2017 11:48 AM PST I can't get passed the first day in the game. If I take shelter, zombies will find me and tear down everything. If I run around, I attract a huge horde and die. I've tried for hours now and I can't get passed six o' clock. The zombies will just tear through solid stone blocks in a few seconds, so how are you suppose to stop that? I tried wooden spikes, and it worked for the small zombies, but then the fat ones come along and just tank through them no problem. Fifteen headshots with a club later and they're still coming after me. I just don't see how it's possible to do anything in this game. As soon as the horde comes and kills me, I have to start a new world because they'll stand around my bedroll and spawnkill me. Am I just unlucky? I've watched videos on how to start and nobody mentions the hordes on day one or the fact that they can just break down anything you build in seconds. I'm not carrying meat, and even if I just stay in the same area I spawned in and build a base there, zombies will start to spawn one by one all around and eventually surround me. | Posted: 31 Dec 2017 02:56 AM PST A underground bunker style fortress with A16 electric gadgets (electric fences) and turrets! Thats a total of 6 lines of e-fences (4-5 is usually enough to kill most Zs) and what gets near bunker (tougher Zs and dogs) get shot by turrets or whoever are in the bunker :) Pics: https://imgur.com/a/pGhkt Enjoy! | When raids become unprofitable Posted: 31 Dec 2017 01:27 PM PST In my current game, I'm on day 70. Usually, sometime after day 50, it just becomes unprofitable to raid. For example, I went into a house to find a feral spider and feral cop. Spent over 50 rounds of 7.62. What did they drop? 2 pieces of moldy bread. Do you just stop raiding at this point? | Posted: 31 Dec 2017 08:42 AM PST My game crashed and when I restarted I was at level 1. Everything else was normal, game stage / days played, my minibike and bases were all there with everything in them. However, I lost every skill point, all of the items I had on me and every recipe I had unlocked. I know I can use command console and creative to replace everything but it's slow going. No matter how much skill xp I give myself it only goes up by one level. Is there a faster way to boost myself back to where I was or should I focus on what I need to survive the quickly approaching horde night and finish the rest after? [link] [comments]  | ||

We got Molotov's, And fire mechanics are already in the game so it shouldn't be too difficult to add into the game right? Also those 400 gas barrels i have laying around... Food and water covered. Minibike covered. Generally exploring but need a new goal until zombies get meaner and I need to worry about base defense. | Spectator mode in SP / Private MP? Posted: 31 Dec 2017 11:57 AM PST I was wondering if there was a spectator mode that renders the player invisible to other players. I've seen a few videos on YouTube that seem like establishing shots are taken from a spectator view. I know you can enable fly and detach the camera from the player and move the player behind the camera and get a decent shot that way, but I don't know how some of these people pan the camera without having the hands show up in the shot, or being invisible to the other players when the camera switches to their POV. Are they just using really good editing for this or am I missing something? No luck with google [link] [comments]  |
