Fun fact about my first Fallout 4 character when it first came out.

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 08:15 AM PST

SPOILER ALERT!!!

When I first got to the institute and saw Father, I killed him. I did save before I did it, just in case, but I figured my character's rage was just too strong. Obviously this makes for a very sad story, as this means he killed his own son. Did anyone else do this?

What are the Legion's opinions on mutants (Ghouls, Super Mutant's, etc)

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 07:16 AM PST

We all know Caesar seems to dislike robots (since he wanted the securitron vault to be destroyed) and he refuses to use chems and alcohol and I also heard he refuses to use weapons that were the cause of the Great War and that got me thinking what are the Legion's opinion on mutants since there is no mutants in the Legion (unless if you count the Marked Men who became mindless) I wonder if the Legion attacks intelligent mutants on sight (Ghouls, Super Mutants, etc)

It's about damn time Bethesda put something good on the Creation Club

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 07:21 AM PST

I was actually kinda looking forward to the creation club. I mean the way they advertised it made it seem like it was going to be dlc quality mods. I was expecting whole new quests that add to the lore, maybe you can create a synth of your wife and question the ethics of doing so, or whatever. But instead we got power armor skins and a couple items that, sure they're kinda neat I suppose, but I wouldn't say they're worthy of being, "paid mods" But now with these new additions, I am contemplating trying them out myself perhaps. I would finally be able to build that arcade that I always wanted to since Nuka World

So does Maxson have a family?

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 11:21 AM PST

Since the newer games like to avoid setting any canon options is it possible that Elder Maxson has a child back in DC just for the fact that he is killable? Is a love interest even referenced in terminals?

This seems like a good way to keep the Maxson line in charge of the BoS while not setting any canon in stone. They could always pull a Sarah Lyons and just have a terminals somewhere in FO5 saying he "died in combat".

Fallout 1 vs Fallout 2

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 11:38 AM PST

As someone who's played neither, but wants to play both, I wanna know:

What's the differences between the two? Which one should I play first? Which one is your favorite, and why?

I was doing some settlement editing at the castle and out of nowhere a few of my settlers randomly turned hostile. Why?

How do I remove mouse acceleration from menus and Pip-Boy in Fallout New Vegas?

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 09:45 AM PST

I followed the listed technique on PC Gaming Wiki's entry on Fallout New Vegas to disable the mouse acceleration, there's no more acceleration in-game, but on menus and when using the Pip-Boy, the acceleration remains.

I searched around for a possible solution but everybody was just telling people the same steps I took initially, but nothing about removing the acceleration from ALL aspects of the game.

Anybody manage to work it out themselves?

In Fallout 4 what do you believe is the "right" route to take, I've taken the institute's as I feel they are rather misunderstood

"Mission Impossible: Fallout" is the title of the next Mission Impossible film. Check out these logos

https://imgur.com/a/Kwqei

Legal experts: Can Bethesda and ZeniMax sue here? I feel like they've established ownership of that name, and the logo looks very similar to the Fallout font.

EDIT: It's technically "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" but I can't change the title.

Redditors of the Commonwealth, would you make the trip to Far Harbor?

I'm not from there, but I'd make the journey just to see The Island.

Which one should i play NV or 4 ?

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 07:58 AM PST

I'd like to get into the fallout world. Some say that NV is still worth playing even if it has bad graphics and a buggy gameplay . Some say that 4 has the best feel. I just want to enjoy and have fun in the fallout world and explore it , not just quests or the main missions

Played 200 hours on 3. 100 hours on 4. Maybe 5 hours on NV. I can’t seem to get into NV and it’s a little disappointing

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 10:53 AM PST

Fallout 3 was my introduction to the series. Started playing it when I was probably 15 or 16, and I think it's still one of my favorite games. It just seemed to truly capture the Wasteland's struggle to survive.

I was so excited for 4 when it was announced. Even though I didn't have a PS4 or XboxOne or a gaming PC, I was so excited for the endless possibilities. Now that I've been playing it for a while nonstop, it does a great job of just..everything, I feel like. It improved on many things 3 didn't do so well on—combat, dialogue (that's probably my favorite improvement), making a town feel like home, the music selection, the perk chart and the elimination of skills—all of that is great!

My brother and I were talking about New Vegas and I remembered I have a copy for th ps3 that my sister had gotten me for my 17th birthday. I loaded it up again and went through the character creation and did the tutorial with Sunny.

And the same thing happened when I tried playing almost 4 years ago..I just couldn't get into it. It's disappointing because it's fallout, one of my favorite game serieses. And I've heard raving reviews about new Vegas in particular.

I don't know if it's the entirely new atmosphere and setting, or the enemies...I dunno.

I feel like I'm being a baby but I can't seem to get into it? Should I try sticking it out more?

What two companions would you ship?

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 09:20 AM PST

Like I think Cassidy and Boone from F:NV would make a great/interesting couple or maybe MacCreedy and Piper might be a good match?

It can be from any fallout, and from two different games such as Dogmeat(f3) and Rex(F:NV). Straight, gay, polygamist anything goes as long as they're companions from fallout.

Falling though the floor of a vertibird. Assaultron laser beam. Grenades/Molotov's. That moment where it's loading your huge settlement and you wait for the crash.

Those Blue Boxes from FO4

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 06:43 AM PST

Most of the stuff in FO4 is based on real objects. So you know those blue boxes you find everywhere in the commonwealth? I've seen a lot that are kind of like them, but I haven't been able to find a good reproduction of the actual box. Has anyone seen one that is close? You can google blue plastic box and find hundreds, but there are none that are really "it". Anyone know which ones they were based on? I'm sure you could find them cheap somewhere if you could find the one.

Is exploring Fallout 3 worth it?

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 08:55 PM PST

I want to finish all the Fallout 3 main/side quests along with the DLC but what I want to know, is exploring the wasteland worth it? I don't want to have to travel everywhere exploring every little area but at the same time I don't want to miss out on certain areas.

What if somehow a Brigade sized Army unit in the gulf war (1991) Teleported to the fallout realm (New Vegas) ? Specifically 1st Air Cavalry? What are your thoughts on it and how should it go?Like how should the NCR and ceasars legion respond and how long will they last against the wastes. (Edit)

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 03:13 PM PST

In this scenario who should this play out NCR and Ceasars leave them be, or send out recon, or the Air Cav provoke the Brotherhood and them killing each other, or like a NCR- American alliance or vice versa

When should you do nuka world and far harbour dlc? And what gear to bring?

Posted: 25 Jan 2018 09:08 AM PST

I'm level 43 right now and I've finished the main quest line with the brotherhood of steel.

Ive gone to nuka world and beaten the overboss and right now I'm reclaiming the park bit I seem to be getting my ass kicked quite a bit. I'm using righteous authority and power armour and an armoured courser suit but is there better gear for this maybe in the dlc itself?

And what about far harbour should I go do that first in case I'm over levelled and the gear becomes worthless?
