Overwatch to Limit Teams to One of Each Character in Competitive Mode
Overwatch's Competitive Play is only a couple weeks old, but developer Blizzard is already thinking of ways it can make the mode better. One of the first things it plans to implement is a one-hero limit, which prevents teams from having lineups with multiple Bastions, Torbjorns, or any other hero that might drive you just a little bit crazy. The new limit in Competitive Play is live on the Overwatch Public Test Realm and will make its way over to the main game in a patch soon.

Overwatch's first new hero, Ana, revealed
The first post-launch character coming to Overwatch is Ana, a support hero who uses her sniper rifle to heal her allies, Blizzard Entertainment revealed today. Blizzard describes Ana as a "battle-scarred veteran who supports her teammates from a distance using a unique and highly specialized collection of weapons."

Thank you for making Ana a true Egyptian, Blizzard - ChosenCharacter
One thing that's always bothered me about Pharah is that she seemed Egyptian in name only.
I wrote a massive post about this before, but after hearing nothing back I thought it would've been ignored. I wrote a massive post about this before, and it seemed Blizzard really DOES listen.
But it seems Blizzard really DOES care.
Because imagine my surprise that, while messing around in the practice range, I finished off a bot just for her to say "Etalim min al Elam" (learn from the pen, but more usually another way of saying "smack/slap," so literally "learn from the punishment") I then used her Ult and she yelled to her teammate "Wareehom quwitak" (literally 'show them your power,') then I tried just saying Hi and she they didn't just have one but THREE ways to say Hi in Arabic!
And not only was she saying these words in Arabic, she was saying them with a distinctly Egyptian accent (which also came off when she spoke in English too) and word choice as well. Did Blizzard really go the extra mile and hire a native Egyptian speaker?
Thank you so much, Blizzard, I don't know if any of you will read this post, but it means SO MUCH to finally hear my language represented in its modern form, with some choice badass quotes and an equally badass character to say them.
I'm speechless, I honestly didn't think this day would come.
Just... Wow.
Piecing Together Sombra After the Ana Amari Reveal - Brrr-eee

So, Ana is here and everyone's super excited (including me). I'm already seeing a bunch of new details people have put together about what the current reveal of Ana means for the identify of Sombra. I rarely post, but I've been having a lot of thoughts swirling that I wanted to get down quickly.
First thing's first, I am taking it as given that Ana and Sombra are NOT the same character. Some support from this from the official Blizzard twitter.
Next, lets review what we have on Sombra's identity before the Ana Amari reveal:
Reaper's voiceline of "Where's Sombra when you need her?"
"Sombra Protocol" showing on the Lumerico power plant interior computer screens in a warning light fashion.
"Quien es Sombra" with a figure on a newspaper on Dorado. I do not personally believe this is the same skin as shown on Anubis which is confirmed to be Ana. I just view it as similarly looking.
"Sombra" translates to Shadow in English.
"Sombra" manila file folder on the table next to the J. Morrison and Soldier: 76 folders.
This leads at least to some information about Sombra:
Reaper is aware of Sombra as a person, and that Sombra is female.
It's also apparent that Sombra has something to do with whatever is actively going on in the Lumerico power plant in the game. It's less clear if she somehow activated a protocol that's affecting the power plant, or if the protocol is simply named after her.
Sombra seems deeply tied to Dorado much like Ana seems to be tied to Temple of Anubis
Sombra and Soldier: 76 could be affiliated with one another in a similar tracking database for whomever was keeping the folders
I think the most compelling new piece of information about Sombra's identity comes from the brief code that appears in a flash in the origins reveal for Ana. This one goes directly to /u/OhGarraty although others also found it.
According to Garraty, it translates to

If you xor with constant 23 (23rd hero?), you get 'la que tiene la información; tiene el poder...', or rustily translated from > Spanish, "Whoever has the information, has the power...", using the feminine version of "whoever".
The context of that brief phrase gives the impression of someone very computer-savvy and potentially a hacker. This would be supported by the Sombra Protocol in Dorado, as well as the very nature of this easter egg (hex code we have to translate). It's exactly the type of thing movies tell us (wrongly or not) that hackers love to do to "sign" their work.
Therefore, I am becoming convinced that not only does this newest piece of intel confirm Sombra is the 23rd hero (next hero), her background and mechanics will revolve around technology/computers, and she may even be another member of Talon.
Finally, as a bonus tinfoil to throw onto all the rest of this. I think if indeed Sombra is a hacker, we got a tease of her from the Recall Animated Short with the hacker tool that Reaper used on Athena. It's very possible if Sombra is associated with Talon, she provided Reaper that tool.
Sorry for the rambly post, not as concise or formatted as I'd like, but wanted to get my thoughts down.

When Ana sleeps Bastion it should fall over and the bird should circle around it's head for a bit. - indiecore

So from the video it looks like the effect is the character lays on their back and some particle Zs float out. Since Bastions presumably don't sleep the effect should be different.

[PTR] D.Va Defense Matrix Concerns - larknok1

The Defense Matrix now functions on a charge mechanism, similar to Pharah's jetpacks. Additionally, a full charge lasts 4 seconds (was 3), and the cooldown for a full charge is still 10 seconds.
This all sounds like a buff so far, but there is a very significant shadow nerf at work in the PTR right now:
When playing D.Va, you will occasionally want to trigger Defense Matrix for just a brief moment (called a Love-Tap DM, used to catch a McCree Flash, Pharah Rocket, etc.) and then cancel it immediately -- going right back into shooting.
You would think that the new charge mechanism would reward this style of Defense Matrix canceling. Instead, it is now impossible to do so.
In addition to the 1 second (60 frame) cooldown between Defense Matrix taps, there is now an additional imposed 0.78 second (47 frame) delay between love-tapping DM and being able to melee/shoot.
Previously, the only thing that limited your ability to cancel DM and begin firing was your reaction time and a few frames of delay -- I've been able to get all 3 buttons (E -> Cancel -> Fire) down to just 0.33 sec (20 frames).
This means that between a Love-Tap DM and firing -- delay has been more than doubled.
This also means that if you intend on Love-Tap blocking two projectiles in succession, between when you intend on blocking Projectile 1 and when you are allowed to block Projectile 2, the true succession delay is 1.78 seconds, NOT 1 second.
PLEASE NOTE: For any DM held for more than 47 frames, canceling into firing is nearly instantaneous. The Shadow Nerf affects Love-Tap DMs only.
EDIT: There may be a second shadow nerf. Could somebody with perfect ping check the difference between how quickly D.Va can melee after starting boost? I'm getting the suspicion PTR D.Va can't melee after boosting as quickly.

Suddenly, S76's pregame interaction with Pharah makes sense - TheDeltaLambda
Occasionally, this interaction will take place prior to the beginning of a round
Soldier 76: Your mother would've been proud of you.
Pharah: You didn't know my mother very well, then.
In Ana's back story video, she writes a letter to Pharah about how she feels guilt for every life she has taken, and how she hopes that pharah doesn't end up like her.
I realize that this is obvious, just felt like making this post to see if anyone else's mind was as blown as mine was when I connected these dots.
People asking you to switch your pick are NOT trying to harass you - Doohur
If a teammate asks you politely to swap your hero, because it's probably a poor choice for the current map or team composition you're running, he's most likely trying to contribute to your chance to win. No, your Symmetra pick won't be contributing on our Sudden Death attack, no, Zenyatta isn't a great solo healer and no, we don't need a thrid tank vs their Reaper/Tracer. Whenever I type "Please switch off XY, he's not good on this map/in our team comp" or "Our team comp sucks right now, we should switch", people instantly get offended, mute me or start flaming in voicechat. I understand you probably don't need to have any sort of trust in a random stranger or care about the other 5 guys in your team at all, but you probably should care about winning in your own, personal interest.
TL;DR: Don't get offended by people politely asking to switch heroes, chances are they're not trying to be mean or rude.
