I loved when the intro screen for PvP had random placements for the players. Posted: 13 Aug 2018 04:15 AM PDT Now it's always your character at the front. I loved it in D1 when it was random, because each time I was on the front I knew the others looked at my cool Guardian, and I got blessed with the random spotlight. Am I the only one? Edit: Now I know it was not random and it was based on Light level and Grimoire. No need for more comments just pointing this out. Also, woaah, 1.5k upvotes? THIS IS AMAZING! [link] [comments] |

This Week at Not Bungie - 8/13/2018 - AI Learning, Autocomplete-Generated TWAB Article Posted: 13 Aug 2018 08:05 AM PDT You might know how this goes by now. I run a few TWAB articles into the Botnik predictive writer, which can generate sentences in an autocomplete fashion based on what you feed it. DISCLAIMER: After reports from previous posts, I'm required by the State of California to say that I'm not responsible for any strange looks you get while laughing in public, nor your own safety while eating while reading TWANB posts. It is advised not to eat or drink while reading TWANB posts as you may choke on your food and drink from laughter. Please read responsibly. The Previous TWANB articles: #1, Patch Notes 1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, Flavor Text #1, #7. THIS WEEK AT NOT BUNGIE - 8/13/2018This week at Not Bungie, we have listed vital armor glows from the Solstice Heroes for your eyes. During an action you might have, we took some big feedback on this one daily buff. All players can expect to become available for preorder on Twitter. You can feast your hands on the Destiny 2 Sandbox Combat Weapon Previews leading up to speed 3. One topic that we've seen some pretty crazy plays for is the Year 2 Weapon Curation Activities. You will no longer be able to apply your eyes on this hotfix as it becomes recommended. The following weapons will be your last mile of triumph for the top three slots.
There are many more changes to combat that we also believe the platform will have. What you can celebrate on this time will be a special emblem. Awake and Privacy In year 4, modifiers will be shared with your thoughts. We have 8 more meaningful streaks of either event for players who see this update. When you access the solstice names, players should visit unavailable perks with the exceptions of a global note. These were created in our Xbox profile. It was our second challenge using private flexibility. All the mechanics falling to their demise will be refreshed for the first mission.
Between August 28 and some new ideas, 2018 will be rewarded with an incredible inventory bucket. Power of Triumph Points For the last few photos, you've invited our friends at Power Threat to make sure you put the first race for the Rekindled Titan on the hype seats. These were created to make Lakshmi-2 proud of your characters. No. We are scaling the game to earn valor points at an absolute range of our promises. This is also your one and only thing that we're fair experts on. When you access the director, Steve, you may know what to be. We'll take you next time. This is also your current random generator mode that will be retired from many Cabal articles. For more powerful matches that are tailored to your video, you can fully halt the game. Here to talk about capturing your thoughts is senior technical reward, Josh Advantages.
Similar to how other small drills will be, you can pick up some good Henderson from your opponents.
Prismatic Pictures The prism around you can watch Hawthorne's activity modifiers right when the dust goes live. This is also cleared up again. Saladin is ornamenting the community through your hands. We have some news. In the meantime, you may also get your armor lid in the upcoming Tangled Playlist. This is just as artists should try to explain. Every week at work is a glimpse of beloved hunter accounts. Wide Hive Artists [Image] Please silence your eyes. Go for it. Spectate a battle. This happened to me in year 4.
It's been another busy four men. Solstice of Twitter is a delicate revenge trophy. Iron Hanging is a new way to keep your favorite chat managers. Fewer duplicate items drop harder than yours. This is also your first dedicated valor win. We have some helpful tips for guardians with full hearts and sweaty bosses. Deej, raid that holographic framerate! This TWANB contained a lot of questions about what the following hotfix is going to sting. We're sure you still have more powerful shaders you'll want to exclude. Others will remain an exclusive choice. Start playing Gambit before launch or you'll expect bad orbs. Visit the statue on the wind that players felt. Go for it. <3 Not dmg04 Thank you, /u/ChefDrizzt for the Edited the MOTW title because people using the new Reddit might not even realize it's a link. A Complete Breakdown of Destiny 2: Forsaken (Part 1) Posted: 13 Aug 2018 11:34 AM PDT Hello Reddit! I've decided to compile all Forsaken info into one, detailed post. It was a bit too... long, so I had to separate it into two sections. Part 1 will go over free content coming in updates 2.0 and 2.0.0.1, while Part 2 will focus on DLC related stuff. Without further ado, let's jump right in! Part 2 can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/970w6o/a_complete_breakdown_of_destiny_2_forsaken_part_2/ August 28th UpdateWeapon Slot ChangesFirstly, weapon classification will be changed back to be similar to Destiny 1. There will be primary, special, and heavy weapons, and each weapon will take either primary, special, or heavy ammo. Primary ammo is white and the most common. Special weapon is green and a little rarer, however heavy ammo is purple and is the rarest. Primary white ammo
Special green ammo
Heavy purple ammo
However, it isn't this simple. Unlike destiny 1, there aren't slots for primary, special, and heavy slots. There is a kinetic, energy, and power slot. The kinetic slot is for guns that do kinetic damage. Kinetic primary weapons can fit here but also kinetic special weapons, a new addition to destiny 2. Many kinetic special weapons will be added come September but some will be converted. Popular weapons such as Silicon Neuroma, Perfect Paradox, Hawthorne's Field-Forged Shotgun, and Alone as a God will become kinetic, as well as a few others. There will be no kinetic fusion rifles. All kinetic special weapons will take special ammo—the only thing differing time from their energy counterparts is that they deal kinetic damage. The energy slot is for weapons dealing elemental damage. Energy primaries as well as specials can fit there, same as the kinetic slot. The power slot is for heavy weapons, such as rockets and swords. This weapon system is more flexible than we've seen previously. You can run two special weapons, two primaries, or a mix of both. You can mix and match loadouts to best serve the situation just to maximize fun or to challenge yourself. You could run a hand cannon, a fusion, and a sword. Or if you want, a shotgun, sniper, and a linear fusion rifle. The choices are endless! Milestones and ChallengesOn August 28th, Milestones and Challenges will be reworked. Milestones will be mostly removed, and current will replace the current challenge system. Call To Arms, Flashpoint, and the like will still give similar rewards. Milestones will also show up as a tooltip when selecting the activity the milestone belongs to. Power Level ChangesPower Level and the way its gained will slightly change come Forsaken. Now, players who are underleveled in an activity will get more powerful rewards than a player who is overleveled for it. Director UpdatesThe director is slightly changing in Forsaken. I have a picture of the new Director courtesy of last week's TWAB, but I can't seem to post it. The only things changing are the positioning of the nodes for Crucible, Vanguard, Io, and Mercury, the additions of the Gambit, Tangled Shore, and Dreaming City nodes, and the removal of the Leviathan from the map. (The Leviathan raids will be launchable from Nessus, similar to the Farm) Heroic Story MissionsHeroic Story Missions are replacing Meditations form Ikora. Ikora's reputation and gear is going to be unobtainable after the 28th. These missions will give powerful gear, and will have modifiers. Forsaken missions will be 500 power, while missions from DLCs and Vanilla will be around their respective level caps. Strikes and NightfallsStrikes are being reworked, as well as Nightfalls. Strikes will now come in three different playlists: power 300, power 400, and power 500. Playlists will disappear once the player has leveled 40 levels over the playlist, except for power 500 strikes, which will remain available at all times. Heroic Strikes are being removed, and Strikes will now have modifiers. Strikes will also be selectable individually from the map, and have their own specific loot, similar to Destiny 1. There will be a legacy playlist for those without Forsaken. Nightfalls are changing a bit as well. Prestige Nightfalls are being removed, and the normal Nightfall is being upgraded in power level. Three Nightfalls are now selectable in one week, rather than one, and there will be a 270 legacy nightfall for players without Forsaken. Misc-Shaders can now be mass deleted in increments of 5 -The Vault will now have 200 additional slots -The TTK of the crucible is being changed. Weapons will now kill faster than they did previously. -Supers are being buffed to account for the new supers being added in Forsaken, including but not limited to Ward of Dawn, Stormtrance, and **Golden Gun** -Heroic Adventures are now universal and exist in all destinations -Modifiers are universal upon adventures, strikes, and heroic story missions. -Players can no longer acquire normal adventures from vendors -Infusion will now require destination materials September 4th UpdateGear CollectionsCollections are now being available for all items from the player inventory. All rarities of year 1 armor and weapons can be pulled from the collections. Year 2 weapons and armor will be visible in the collections but cannot be pulled once Forsaken drops due to random rolls potentially being abused by pulling them repeatably. Shaders and cosmetic items, including Eververse items, can be pulled, however Eververse items will be pulled for Bright Dust. In-Game TriumphsIn-Game triumphs are being added into the character menu, similar to gear collections. Lore is also being added into the triumphs tab. Weapon RandomizationWeapons are going to be randomized again! Similar to Destiny 1, all weapons in Year 2 will get randomly rolled perks, as well as new perks. Every weapon you get will not be the same, and each one can be better than the last. Mod/Masterwork System UpdateMods and Masterworks are being updated on September 4th. Current mods will be replaced, and rare mods will be removed. Legendary mods are going to be similar to fully fledged perks now, and are going to be more valuable. Banshee-44 will sell mods. If you have a weapon you happen to dislike but it drops with a powerful mod--don't fear! You can dismantle this weapon to gain the mod. Mods will matter a lot more and will be a bigger part of armor and weapon customization. Masterworks are now changing. Weapons will drop as tier 1 weapons, and can be upgraded all the way to tier 10. Once they're level 10, they boost a stat of the weapon, similar to masterworks currently, but the potency of these stat boosts are being increased from 5% to 10%. For Armor, it's the same system as weapons, however a tier 10 upgrade will make a perk on the armor more potent, instead of boosting a stat. CrucibleThere are a few new additions to the crucible coming on September 4th. Power will matter in Iron Banner and Trials of the Nine. Four new crucible maps are being added, while one of them is a Ps4 exclusive. Breakthrough, a new Competative Crucible mode is being added for all players as well. PlayStation Exclusive StuffPs4 exclusive items from the past year of Destiny 2 are being added for all players come Forsaken. Borealis, the Ps4 exclusive Sniper rifle, is being added to Xbox and PC, as well as: Retribution, a Crucible map on Mars Wormhaven, a Crucible map on Titan Lake of Shadows, a strike on Earth The Insight Terminus, a strike on Nessus Several new legendary armor sets and legendary cosmetic items EververseEververse is getting a stock refresh, as usual. The Prismatic Matrix is being refreshed as well, and will stay all season long. New Eververse items, such as legendary weapon ornaments, are being added to the loot table. Eververse is now getting Bounties, which can be purchased from Tess Everis and reward Bright Dust. That was (most likely) everything that will be dropping for free in the Year 2 updates in a few weeks. If I've missed anything respectfully remind be about it in the comments. Cheers! With the New Warlock Solar Subclass Being Mostly Support. Can We Get Viking Funeral Back? Posted: 13 Aug 2018 05:15 AM PDT I know the new solar subclass says that its melee will 'burn enemies and empower allies', but I miss Viking Funeral from the Rise of Iron days. For those that were not with us in D1. Solar Warlocks had a perk similar to a Titan's melting point. Where if an enemy caught a burn from any Solar ability, it would weaken it's armor, and allow your team to do more damage. Since the Warlock's new tree node is pretty much a dedicated support role, having Viking Funeral would make it an all around great choice. Being able to heal up close and help boost damage at range. If nothing else, an exotic would work as well. I used to love throwing grenades at Aksis with my Sunbracers on. It would be a great to have options like that, where a Titan could switch to Sentinel and not always have to run the same subclass just for Melting Point. Being able to apply a damage boost with a grenade was incredibly helpful, and something I have been missing. List of new Subclasses and their Perks: https://www.vg247.com/2018/07/07/destiny-2-forsaken-supers-subclass-abilities/ TL;DR- Viking Funeral was the Warlock version of Melting Point, and it has been removed in D2. I would like it back as an option for long range applications and so Titans can run other classes. Also, the new Warlock Super is all support based, it would fit in perfectly. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Aug 2018 07:45 AM PDT I was gifted Forsaken DD Edition by a clanmate similar to that top poster yesterday! I was pleasantly surprised by this and I really appreciate it. I'll edit the image here when I have the time: http://imgur.com/LtsTziM Little background to this guy: He got back into D2 in anticipation for the Forsaken DLC and he's trying to get back on track with the game after dropping it during Vanilla days. He's currently grinding the solstice armor. I helped him with the Whisper questline this week and planning to finish it in the next two. I never expected to get anything from carrying people get the Whisper cause I enjoyed doing it. This is way more than I deserve but thank you so much guardian! I plan to sherpa him and four complete newbies to go raiding sometime before the DLC hits. So if you've never done the raid at all and would like to, I'm looking for four people on PC to pm me so I could add you and we'll set it up. I'm in NA Mountain Time. Kinda hectic schedule but we'll work it out. Sorry for an almost copycat post but I just wanted this guy to get some love. TL;DR I helped a dude trying to get back into D2 and got gifted Forsaken DD Edition in return. Thanks man! If you wanna raid on PC message me here or reply to this post. [link] [comments] |
XBox Players: If you are not using xbox LFG try it again. Posted: 13 Aug 2018 08:36 AM PDT I think i might be late to the game in using xbox built-in LFG. I was still using LFG.net. The recent change to xbox privacy forced me to try xbox LFG again. And it seems much better than it was at launch. I find things much faster with less effort. There seem to be significantly more people using it than lfg.net which surprised me. This is a reminder to those who still are NOT using it. Obviously I was one of the slower ones to discover its glory. This youtuber outlines how to use it if you are unfamiliar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrPpzaO1nbc Gather your party, recent tags, popular tags... its just laid out well to make it easy to use with a controller. Strongly recommended. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Aug 2018 08:15 AM PDT Some backstory first: When I assembled an LFG Wrath run for Outbreak Prime, our team was horribly imbalanced. I don't remember the exact composition, but having three of one class left one fireteam out. I was in that leftover group of three, so I struggled to find fireteam members that night and beyond. Eventually, I formed a complete fireteam with two guardians who had finished the quest long before I had even started it. They helped me complete every step of the quest for seemingly no personal benefit. The exact moment I acquired Outbreak Prime from Shiro, I made an unspoken promise to myself that I would thank these guardians by helping others with the quest. Fast forward one year, two days ago I found a guardian that needs help with the Outbreak Prime quest in r/destinylegacy. Let's call this guardian "G1" for his privacy. He was a mostly solo player whose friends had either moved on to D2 or left Destiny altogether. I offered to help this guardian complete the quest. He joined my party yesterday and we discussed trying to find a third guardian to complete the fireteam. It took a couple hours, but we eventually found a Hunter on the charged siva engine step. Let's call this guardian "G2". We invite him to the fireteam and G1 completes his first siva engine. G2 didn't mind helping G1 complete the earlier stages in the quest, which only took about an hour and a half. Eventually, we were all caught up on the charged siva engine step and we entered our codes. It worked. Next was the raid step. Our original plan was to farm Vosik for boss kills. After around 15 minutes, we found two randoms from LFG who had lots of raiding experience. This brings us to 5 members in the fireteam. "Great, just one more member," we said. The two randoms suggested that we try to 5 man the entrance encounter, then simply hope we get a sixth for Vosik P2. We melted Vosik in the entrance encounter with ammo and supers to spare. But still no 6th. We were confident in our ability to 5 man phase two because of how quickly we melted him in phase 1. We didn't melt Vosik quite as quickly as we did in phase one, but it was still pretty fast for a 5 man group. I reminded the team of our plan to farm Vosik phase 2, but the team seemed onboard with trying to 5 man the rest of the raid and farming if we failed. We blew through siege engine without any mishaps, and no wipes so far. We proceeded to Aksis phase 1. There were a few deaths but no wipes, like the rest of the run. Aksis phase 1 went about as smoothly as Vosik phase 2. We weren't as confident in our ability to 5 man Aksis phase 2, but we said "fuck it" and started the encounter. (Note: my memory of the events of each phase is a bit fuzzy, so i might be wrong on a couple of the more minor details) The first cycle, no one died and we took him down to around half health using all damage buffs available to us. Melting point, Viking funeral, weapons bubble. Our Nightstalker was using his tether on the adds to generate orbs for other damage buff supers like Viking Funeral Radiance and weapons bubble. The second cycle was not as smooth. A number of errors were made, including almost letting a servitor get to the plate, one or two deaths, and a failed stun on the last teleport (I was to far back on left side). The damage for that cycle was negligible, but everyone seemed pretty chill about it. The third cycle had a few deaths, but by that time we took Aksis down to about 1/5 health. During the 4th, Aksis enraged, but we were not discouraged. We sent Aksis to final stand with ease during this cycle, and killed him with little time to spare before siva density became lethal. When we realized we had succeeded, there were shouts of joy and excitement in the microphone. We then went to the Iron Temple and after the two randoms left, we went to work on the last stage of the quest. We all used the calculator available online, and what screwed us up was that G2 unlocked the final node in the engine and turned in the quest before G1 knew we were ready. We tried to unlock G1's engine with whatever we could, but it was no use. Nothing was working. In retrospect, it was a little bit stupid that I did not think to ask G2 to get the replica from Shiro sooner. But eventually we arrived at that fix, and it worked. I had helped two people obtain something they had been chasing for who knows how long. After G1 claimed his reward from Shiro, we returned to the tower to claim any packages we had earned. In the Tower, both guardians thanked me for the help. I told them that they should thank me by helping others just like I helped them, because I did so as a way of thanking the kind guardians that helped me. Words are nothing in comparison to giving someone the experience of acquiring such an elusive and powerful reward, and every player deserves to experience it. Up until then, it seemed like I would get nothing in return for helping them, and I was perfectly fine with that. But boy, was I wrong. Helping them built my confidence and raiding experience, and it was quite fun as well. This experience earned me two new friends and reduced my anxiety about raiding by quite a lot. I expect to be far more comfortable raiding in the future. So G1 and G2, if you are reading this, thank you. Thank you for reading, and I'm sorry this was so long. Earlier today I saw a post thanking the guardian who helped him with the whisper quest, and that inspired me to post this. [link] [comments] |
FINALLY GOT WHISPER! Thanks to the guardian who just helped me! Posted: 13 Aug 2018 01:08 AM PDT Earlier tonight I grouped up with some guys. One had whisper and was trying to help his brother get it and asked me to join their fireteam. It was fun and we got close but couldn't do enough dps in the final room to finish it. After a couple tries one gave up and got a clanmate to help and I got booted. No problem, I really wasnt much help and died too many times on the jumping puzzle. After trying lfg to no avail I spawn in to lost oasis and a blight event is going on and the portal is open. I go over and sit next to it and another guardian was just hanging out. He notices me joins my fireteam and I say screw it and go in. The guy practically carries me the whole way. He had the first room clear by the time I made it and I helped with maybe 2 knights in the second room. In the final room I was using Polaris and just trying not to die and he already had whisper and was taking out everything. I wanted just say thanks to darkninja for helping me when I had just kind of given up for the day. TLDR: I was struggling to get whisper. Random joins me when I had almost given up and carries me to the finish. [link] [comments] |

Worlds Fastest Prestige Leviathan Completion [18:18] Posted: 13 Aug 2018 08:32 AM PDT Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDBJil7zCdE This being the last time before forsaken that the god rotation is around we decided to try and break this record once again. With some grinding we managed to beat the old time by 24 seconds. Im very curious what the new Loadouts will do for the Leviathan Speedrun. Setups: Strategies: These strategies are similar to the previous ones but got a few changes here and there. Using all of this combined got us a 18:18 which we hope to beat with something way better with new Loadouts. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Aug 2018 07:42 AM PDT The exo slammed down another drink, his blue robotic eyes staring intently at the clock above the bar, the small hand closing in on the twelve. Tick. Tick. Tick. "Woohoo! Alright, it's my birthday everybody, who wants a drink!?" He turned to face an empty room with dusty stools and scorched tables. His only companion being the local sweeper bot, who looked up, confused. Or at least, as confused as a sweeper bot can get unless they lost their broom. "Oh yeah, right... Ooh! I bet Ikora got me something! Probably just a book though, knowing her... Or a warlock-y space gun!" The sweeper bot returned to it's pointless endeavour, as Cayde stood up from the bar. "I better go see them. Ooh I'm so excited to see Zavala's gift!" He made haste to the Tower hangar, where he bumped into his favourite shipwright. "Amanda, hey! Did ya miss me? I know, I know, I'll pay you for that sparrow tomorrow..." "Tomorrow? Cayde you stole that sparrow weeks ago..." "Yeah yeah I know, but look, gimme a break would ya? It's my birthday!" "Yer birthday huh? How does that even work, seeing as you're a... y'know." "Amazing? Devilishly handsome? A master hunter? Cooler than Sha-" "A robot." "Oh that, yeah that is kinda weird huh? Yeah well everyone else has one so just thought I'd make my own!" "Right. Well anyway, you better get yourself down to the Tower courtyard, Zavala's been asking for you." "I bet! Probably dying to give me his present and wondering where I am." With a shake of the head from Amanda, Cayde hurried over to reunite with his 'boss'. "Cayde! Where have you been? Why were you not at your post like instructed?" "Oh that old thing? I've been leaning on that thing for nearly A YEAR! Damn thing's put a cramp in my back..." Cayde reaches his arms out to Zavala, as if waiting to accept something. The titan looks at him, confused. "And what is it, exactly, that you are doing?" "Uh, waiting for my gift? Y'know, my birthday gift?" "Your what?" "My birthday! You see, each year after your mommy first pops you out, you celebra-" "I KNOW WHAT A BIRTHDAY IS. My question is why and how is it yours? You're a Guardian. Guardians don't celebrate such trivial things." Zavala turns to look at the Guardians swarming the courtyard, many of which doing ridiculous dances, eating popcorn and fishing over the Tower wall. He lets out a deep sigh. "Cayde, I would hope after the Cabal attack last year that you would take this position more seriously... If not for that Guardian, we wouldn't be here today. I need you to be here the next time we-" "OhMyGod he said it again, Zavala needs me!" Cayde sprints happily, almost skipping towards the Tower bazaar, shouting as he goes. "Best. Birthday present. EVER!" Zavala grunts and turns to the nearest guardian dancing in his face and begging for his ship, sighing once more. "Ikora! Ikora Ikora IKORA!" The Warlock vanguard keeps her gaze affixed to beauty of the Traveler. "Cayde. How surprising to see you here again..." "Guess what? You'll never guess what! Go on guess!" "I'm guessing you have something of utmost importance to say?" "Zavala gave me THE best birthday gift! Better than anything you could offer" She turned to him at that comment and gave the Hunter a disgruntled look. "Need I remind you Cayde, while I don't typically involve myself in such insignificant celebrations, I did however know of your so called 'birthday'..." The Exo's eyes widened, thoughts of all kinds of space guns, magic knives, maybe even a flame turret! "Here, you could do with one of these..." She handed him a more than feasably large book. Cayde was not impressed. "Yeah yeah great, lovely book and all Ikora, but where's my actual present? Maybe even that shotgun of yours you use to have? All I've gotten today is a pat on the back from Zavala, this piece of charred celery from Eris I already gave away, and some fortune cookie that says I'll be dead in 3 weeks! Come oooon, don't you have ANYTHING cool?" "Open it." Cayde reluctantly turns the first few pages, where he is met with a paper figure of a large shank. "Ooh, a pop up book! Awesome! Here's that giant shank we saw in the Cosmodrome, that centurion Oryx took right as the Guardian boarded the Dreadnaught... Ooh, what's this?" The final page was a pop up of Zavala, including an audio file that echoed throughout the Tower: Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold. Edit: typos (because autocorrect is dumb) [link] [comments] |
Can Benedict please have a 1% chance of dropping the Broomstick sparrow from rank packages? Posted: 13 Aug 2018 08:01 AM PDT Currently Calus tokens are even more useless than normal tokens since Benedict cannot drop Masterworks, so those of us that Raid semi-frequently can pretty easily stockpile thousands of them without having anything worthwhile to spend them on. Giving Benedict's packages a chance to drop a super rare item would give players a good sink for our thousands of tokens. I propose the Broomstick from FotL return to fill this role for obvious reasons. [link] [comments] |
A guardian in my clan has gifted me Forsaken and wanted to share. Posted: 12 Aug 2018 03:26 PM PDT So I'm the founder/leader of a clan called Dealer's Choice, been running it since the launch of PC Destiny. I always keep up with my members making sure if they ever need any help with anything! With the Whisper dropping couple weeks ago I would offer to carry all my members so everyone in my clan has the weapon. A long time member EvilTwitcher heard I was struggling with money and getting a job (Long story short I lost my job last year because of Hurricane Harvey.) so out of the blue he gifted me Forsaken! He told me all the time I spent helping the clan he figure this is a thank you gift to me. https://i.imgur.com/LdOrsYq.png I'm super excited to play Forsaken and happy to be part of this awesome clan! Huge shout out to EvilTwitcher I'm beyond happy right now. (I want to apologize of my crappy grammar I know its not the best.) [link] [comments] |

Destiny Brought My Family Closer Posted: 13 Aug 2018 03:48 AM PDT I've been playing since D1 Beta. It was the perfect game for a new father. I would get up in the middle of the night with my baby and play Destiny while I rocked her back to sleep. As a working father I don't have much time for games anymore so Destiny has remained the only real constant. Because of this, a few months ago my father-in-law picked up Destiny and began to play so we would have something to play together. My brother-in-law soon followed suit. It's been pretty fun, then the Whisper sub-quest launched. We'd been trying for 2 weekends to get it to no avail. So in between we would grind to get stronger. Yesterday with 5 seconds left we finally did it. We coordinated, we were focused, and we were on the edge of our seats. When we finally beat the third boss and saw that exotic flash on our screens we shouted in victory. The rest of the family were relieved that we would now stop talking about it. It was really fun and a great moment we shared together. I appreciate the memories Bungie! We eagerly await Forsaken and what secrets and surprises are in store. [link] [comments] |
A Complete Breakdown of Destiny 2: Forsaken (Part 2) Posted: 13 Aug 2018 11:37 AM PDT Hello again! Welcome back to my guide. This time around, I'm going through all the paid content being brought to us in Forsaken, Destiny 2's largest expansion. Part 1 can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/970vbq/a_complete_breakdown_of_destiny_2_forsaken_part_1/ New Stuff For Our Guardians:First things first, our guardians will be able to go all the way up to power level 600 and player level 50. This is by far the highest levels we've seen in any Destiny release. In addition, similar to every other season, the vendors will get a refresh in gear, and more gear is being added to the legendary engram pool, although more than usual due to it being Year 2 of Destiny 2. Come Forsaken, we'll be introduced to a new weapon type, the Combat Bow. Bows can have various draw times and rely on precision damage. In PvP, they will be a two hit kill, so long as the player hits their precision shots. Bows will take white primary ammo, and can be either elemental or kinetic. All guardian subclasses will have a new subclass branch. These subclass branches will add an additional super as well as many new abilities for guardians to use in battle. New Subclass Trees: Code of the Commander: A new Sentinel subclass tree which replaces Sentinel Shield's guard ability with Banner Shield, a massive shield that allies behind can shoot through. Code of the Missile: A new Striker subclass tree which replaces Fists of Havoc with Thundercrash, which sends the player into the air in a guided slam attack. Code of the Siegebreaker: A new Sunbreaker tree which replaces Hammer of Sol with Siege Hammer, a massive flaming Hammer which can be spun around in a tornado-like fashion, or slammed into the ground, leaving a stream of fire in its wake. Way of a Thousand Cuts: A new Gunslinger tree which replaces Golden Gun with Knife Barrage, in which the player sends out a barrage of dozens of flaming knives, dealing massive damage. Way of the Wraith: A new Nightstalker tree which replaces Shadowshot with Spectral Blades, a void version of Destiny 1's Bladedancer which grants invisibility when casted and grants truesight, which allows the player to see enemies through walls. Way of the Current: A new Arcstrider tree which adds Whirlwind Guard, an ability for the Arc Staff super to block incoming projectiles. Damaging enemies after guarding with Arc Staff grants triple damage with the Arc Staff. Attunement of Fission: A new Voidwalker tree which replaces Nova Bomb with Nova Warp, which allows the player to rapidly blink and detonate in a flurry of void energy. Attunement of Control: A Stormcaller tree which replaces Stormtrance with Chaos Reach, which allows the player to cast a massive beam of arc energy. When the player cancels Chaos Reach, their super bar will save the amount of energy they had left when they cancelled, conserving super time. Attunement of Grace: A Dawnblade tree which replaces Daybreak with Well of Radiance, which creates a massive Rift which gives allies a damage boost and a potent overshield. New Exotic Gear:With Forsaken comes dozens of new pieces of Exotic gear, whether it be armor or weapons. New Exotic Weaponry: Cerberus+1, a four-barreled auto rifle Wish-Ender, an Awoken-themed bow with truesight Trinity Ghoul, a bow which shoots electrifying arrows that chain lightning One Thousand Voices, a trace rifle which shoots beams of explosive fire. Black Talon, a void sword which shoots an arced projectile as its secondary attack. Malfeasance, a Taken-themed hand cannon which deals an explosive attack on its fifth consecutive shot Ace of Spades, Cayde's repurposed hand cannon which explodes enemies on a precision hit. Two-Tailed Fox, a Daito rocket launcher which shoots two rockets at once--a solar rocket which burns enemies, and a void rocket which suppresses enemies. There are also a few unnamed exotic weapons, such as an unnamed void trace rifle and an unnamed Hive-themed shotgun. New Exotic Armor: Antaeus Wards, leg armor for Titans which apply a deflective shield when the player slides. The Sixth Coyote, chest armor for Hunters which give the player a second dodge charge. Chromatic Fire, chest armor for Warlocks which grant the player elemental explosions from precision kinetic kills. Of course, this is an incomplete list of exotics and at any point in time, this list could update with more new or returning exotics. There is also a Ps4 exclusive exotic weapon, although it is unknown at this time. GambitIn Forsaken, a new PvEvP mode will be added called Gambit. In Gambit, two teams of four compete in separate arenas and fight AI enemies. These will drop motes, which can be banked for points. Once one team has banked enough points, they can send over blockers--Ravenous Taken enemies which block the enemy team from depositing their motes. The more motes deposited, the stronger the blocker is--from small Taken Phalanxes all the way up to Taken Ogres. Once a team has banked 75 motes, a Primeval, a gigantic Taken boss, will spawn. Killing the Primeval wins the round and scores a point. Once a team has deposited enough motes, they can send a player to the other team's arena. Killing the other team's players drops their motes and stalls their progress. If players are killed during the Boss-slaying phase of the round, the boss will be healed. The first team to two points wins. With Gambit comes a whole host of rewards, including a menagerie of legendary weapons and armor, as well as the Malfeasance exotic hand cannon. An enigmatic man named The Drifter hosts Gambit, and will be the vendor for the activity. Gambit will be available for all players from the get-go, and will not have a severe power requirement. We know of three Gambit maps as of current; Emerald Coast in the European Dead Zone, Legion's Follyin the Arcadian Valley on Nessus, and an unnamed Gambit map in the Reef. Story CampaignThe Story Campaign in Forsaken revolves around the Awoken Prince, Uldren Sov, and his army of Fallen. Months after the events of Warmind, Uldren orchestrated a massive prison break at the Prison of Elders. In response to this, the Vanguard has sent Cayde-6, and you, the guardian. During this response, Cayde-6 pays the most ultimate price and is killed by Uldren Sov, leading the guardian to hunt down Uldren and his Fallen deep within the Reef. The ScornIn Forsaken, a new enemy faction will emerge from the Reef: The Scorn. The Scorn are a faction of Fallen Pirates, born deep within the Prison of Elders from the experiments of their leader, the Fanatic. The Scorn are incredibly aggressive and do not use cover. The Scorn are ruled by eight Fallen Barons: The Fanatic, an outcast of a long forgotten Fallen house which created the Scorn from his experiments in the depths of the Prison of Elders. The Machinist, the Scorn's second-in-command. She specializes in munitions and weapon-crafting. The Mindbender, a Scorn baron which is obsessed with the Hive, to the point where he even has his own space in the Hive's Ascendant Realm. The Trickster, a Scorn baron who lures his enemies into deadly traps. The Hangman, a Scorn baron who acts as the Scorn's executioner. The Mad Bomber, a deranged baron who lobs explosive void bombs at his enemies. The Rifleman, A Scorn baron who acts as a skilled scout and a sniper, having killed several Guardians and Awoken Paladins. The Rider, a Scorn baron who is the leader of a deadly pike gang. With the addition of the Scorn comes a whole new roster of enemy units to fight: Screebs, quadrupedal Scorn units which explode like Cursed Thrall when near players. Stalkers, the Scorn's variant of Dregs Ravagers, cauldron-wielding members of the Scorn who actively charge their opponents with their flaming censers. Wraiths, rabid Scorn units who charge the player with dual flame torches. Raiders, Scorn snipers armed with void rifles and sawblade launchers, as well as a stealth teleportation ability. Lurkers, Scorn stalkers armed with shrapnel pistols and small Fallen shields. Mongrels, monstrous Scorn abominations as large as Hive Ogres which shoot lightning out of their hands. Chieftains, the Scorn's variant of Captains that have the ability to place down elemental totems which have varying effects. The Scorn also have a special variant of Fallen Walker, which have a shield generator instead of a cannon. Tangled ShoreThe Tangled Shore is a new destination coming in Forsaken. Its landscape consists of tethered together asteroids, interspliced with Fallen nests. It is the primary home of the Scorn, but also is harbor to pockets of Cabal and a crashed Hive ship. The Tangled shore is the largest destination in all of Destiny 2. The main vendor of the Tangled Shore is The Spider, an English-speaking Fallen which assists Guardians in their activities in the Reef. The Spider gives out special bounties to hunt down, including the Outlaw Lost Sector, a new activity in Forsaken. Outlaw Lost Sectors offer an additional challenge by having players hunt down escaped convicts from the Prison of Elders and hunt them down in unique bossfights in familiar locales. Dreaming CityThe Dreaming City is the second destination being added in Forsaken. It is partially enveloped into the Hive's Ascendant Realm. It is the birthplace of the Awoken, and a place they hold as a sacred ground. It is held by an ancient curse, and is infested by the Hive and the Taken, as well as the Scorn. It is built from the ground up to be an endgame destination, and is roughly the size of Nessus. The Dreaming City's landscape changes every week, and at the end of this cycle, the destination's pinnacle activity will take place. It is unknown at the time of posting what this could be. The Dreaming City's vendor is Petra Venj, a returning character from Destiny 1. She is the acting regent of the Reef, and changes locations every week. Another activity in the Dreaming City is the Blind Well, a 3-6 endgame PvE activity which revolves around players fighting waves of Scorn, Hive, or Taken whilst evading clouds of poisonous gas. Rewards from this activity include Dreaming City themed weapons and armor. Due to the Dreaming City being partially enveloped into the Ascendant Realm, it is accessible to the Guardians in some locations. In the Dreaming City, portals in the sky will open up which act as gateways to the Ascendant Realm. Within the Ascendant Realm, Guardians will engage in puzzles to be able to get endgame gear. Toland will be involved in some way, but at the time of posting it is unknown how. Another aspect of the Dreaming City is the Raid, arguably the centerpiece of any Destiny expansion. At this time, not much is known about the raid, and I doubt this will change until the expansion drops. Strikes and CrucibleOf course, with every expansion, new Strikes and Crucible maps are being added. Four strikes will be added, with one Ps4 exclusive. At least one will be taking place within the Destiny 1 Prison of Elders. Four crucible maps will also be added, with one Ps4 exclusive. We know of two crucible maps, Peak, in the Dreaming City, and Firebase Echo on Nessus. There is also a new competitive mode being added, Breakthrough. VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!!11!!1!Taken Ogres are being added to Destiny 2 with the addition of Forsaken. Very important news indeed. Well, that's it for this guide! If you have any questions or if you believe I've missed something do respectfully tell me in the comments below. Cheers! [link] [comments] |
Bug: Somehow I equipped an ornament as my ghost Posted: 13 Aug 2018 10:22 AM PDT Logged in today to see this happening in my inventory. Also, when I pulled out my ghost, it was blank. I'm guessing this is just some issue with the maintenance going on. They did replace two ghost shells I had, and once I unequipped the ornament I couldn't put it back on. I could, however, unlock them permanently. I had not gotten that Suros ornament yet, but it seems to count (although it's not marked as unlocked in Eververse) [link] [comments] |
