Just trying to piece my collection back together in time for forsakes release haven't played since launch when public event farming was the go to way to get them, just wondering if anyone has any tips or strategy's they use to farm them fast

Can I collect a milestone after a reset or will it disappear?

I still need 2 heroic strikes on my recently new alt and I don't want to waste a three of coins on one milestone and I always use them with milestones as I actually get exotics sometimes. Anyways, can I wait to claim it with the rest so I can be more efficient sometimes? Before anyone tries to say three of coins is junk, it is junk for public events which already have a low exotic rate, and I don't know if they ever fixed it with heroic strikes, however I still run them after my milestones with the remaining time I have left on them and have gotten lucky. Lately I've been getting an exotic every other day sometimes every day by using the coin and the medallion. I may start saving legendary engrams to open with them too.

What exotics are obtainable through missions or quests? I can't find a list or something, just digging around, if someone help me with only the weapons names will be enough to get more information.
