Fnatic.Era Dota 2 Fnatic Roster TI4

Valve just released more infor regarding the issue that has occured with the replacement of Era in Fnatic.

Valve published certain letters from the organization and the players, shedding some more light on the situation. As it currently stands, Valve will require Fnatic.Era to be a part of Fnatic in order for the team to take part in The Internaltional 2014.

There has been a lot of fuzz surrounding the situation that has occured after the replacement of Fnatic.Era by Xcalibur in the roster of Fnatic. The organization released their side of the story earlier this week, mentioning that Fnatic.Era has been suffering from a mental condition that affects his training and performance. They mentioned that they would like to replace him with Xcalibur in TI4, but Valve rejected their application insisting that Fnatic.Era should play in the event.

Today, Valve posted their response, offering their opinion on the matter along with certain Emails that the two sides exchanged. Judging from the content of those letters, it seems that Fnatic.Era indeed suffered from anxiety disorder, but he received clearance from his doctors and family to participate in TI and ESL One. However, Fnatic insisted on benching the player and using Fnatic.Xcalibur instead.

Despite Fnatic's continuous attempts to go through with the roster change without losing their spot in the tournament, the Valve representatives remain unconvinced and they refused to invite any other player instead of the five original members of Fnatic.Dota2. Nonetheless, it is safe to assume that Fnatic will accept the decision and proceed to play in the competition using Fnatic.Era as their carry.

Fnatic just responded with their own entry from their correspondances

Fnatic.Era Dota 2

Through their official website (Fnatic.com), Fnatic posted their lengthy answer to Valve's earlier statement regarding the issues with Fnatic.Era and his potential replacement in The International 2014. The organisation announced that they are unhappy with Valve's decision to release the emails exchanged between the two sides, and with their irrevocable resolution regarding Fnatic.Era's situation.

In his last post, Fnatic.cArn Sättermon insists that their request to change the roster is solely caused by Era's health condition and has nothing to do with performance issues or the sort. He stated that Valve continuously refused to communicate with the organisation through Skype, making it harder for the players to be heard by the company and explain their situation and point of view. He also published some emails that were not included in Valve's original blog post, which was later updated with the missing emails. Sättermon stated that without these emails, Fnatic's approach towards the situation seems shady and, as he claims, quite different from reality.

Along with cArn's words, Fnatic's post also includes the final letter from Fnatic.Era, who mentions that his email on June 13th was rushed and thoughtless as it was written before he completes his medical sessions and the required treatment. According to the letter, Fnatic.Era announced that he has no problem getting replaced by Xcalibur in The International 4, but he insists that he will attempt to play as well if Valve's decision forces Fnatic.Dota2 to bring him with them.
