| Posted: 24 Jan 2018 05:17 PM PST Hey everyone, We recently published details on the newly named SMITE Minor League, which is replacing the Challenger Circuit from previous seasons. There are a number of changes coming from last season to this season such as a more competitive format and all of the league games being broadcast by Hi-Rez Studios. There have been some complaints around two topics today: -The amount of prizing support for the SMITE Minor League -The teams selected to participate in the SMITE Minor League When we were doing our prizing structure for this season, we were working against the commitment to increase the prize by 5x compared to what it was at in Season 4, which the prizing outlined accomplishes. As for the teams selected, we made a commitment to invite the bottom two SPL teams from the Fall in Season 4 to the SMITE Minor League this season. In order to get the best teams playing in the SMITE Minor League, we are holding two weeks of tournaments where those not invited can compete for the final spots in the league. We've realized that there were other commitments made and we want to honor those the best we can. Changes: Prizing will be increased for 1st and 2nd place to $12,500 per split. The top team will also qualify for a $10,000 LAN event where they will earn, at minimum, an additional $4,000.00. This allows the top teams in the SMITE Minor League to earn income more equivalent to Season 4 SPL Minimum levels. The bottom two SPL teams & the top two Challenger Circuit teams, from Season 4, are automatically invited to the SMITE Minor League for Season 5. Any other team will have to compete through the open bracket + group stage process where the top team (1) from each group will qualify as the final two teams in the league. We understand there was some confusion today and we wanted to make good on the commitments that were made. Season 5 offers completely new league, broadcasting, and prizing structures and we are very excited for the start of the season! Posted: 24 Jan 2018 05:19 AM PST Here is Neith, buy Meditation and destroy a couple objectives with an infinite amount of minions at your disposal. What an amazing way to learn a very complex game. Can you please teach rotations, farming, how to build correctly, teach people that they lose gold to minions hit by tower damage. Teach them the reason you would go Pen and Power over crit, or show them that certain gods have CC immunity frames in their ability descriptions. This game feels so incomplete. edit: OBVIOUSLY nobody wants to be forced to play a 1 hour long tutorial to learn all this, and don't take every example I gave to heart. | Baba Yaga - Lore From my Russian Grandma Posted: 24 Jan 2018 02:47 PM PST My Grandma is the most intelligent and most knowledgeable person I know. I asked her about Baba Yaga and recorded her (btw I asked for her permission) . She agreed, and she said I can post it on this subreddit. "Baba Yaga is a witch. She lives in a hut that has 4 chicken like leggs as the bottom holders. She sometimes helps people who are dying, people who lost someone, or people who are dead (dead souls). But at the end of the day, she is an evil demon. People shouldn't try to make a contact, or call her in any kind of way. Baba means an Old lady. Yaga is simply her name. She is ugly. She is old, super old, and she can barely see. She is always fully covered, but you will see her face. She has big breasts too . She uses her broom to chase small , innocent children and eats them. From the nature, she takes all kinds of stuff like ingredients, and makes deadly food, drinks, powder. She sometimes disguises herself in someone very different than her. Pretty blond woman, some say that it's a woman who stole BabaYaga's man when she was young. Yaga killed both of them, and burned them while keeping pretty woman's clothes. Why does she disguise? Because sex is what keeps her alive. She then eats her partners. But one should not fear Yaga. Only people who are afraid are Yaga's targets. If you are not scared of her, she will fly away with her broom like a witch she is. That's why she is consithered a low-tier demon. " So from what my Grandma said -She is a witch that flies on broom She also spoke Russian so I think I got everything right,tho translation might not be the smoothest out there. | Posted: 24 Jan 2018 07:54 AM PST So about 20 minutes ago smite posted a link on twitter saying if you have twitch prime or create a twitch prime account then you get a free awesome chest roll under twitch prime rewards. I just looked and there is no awesome chest reward to be claimed on twitch prime. Anyone else not seeing theirs? EDIT: okay so I've found out you have to accept the paladins reward, which I've done, and now I still don't have my awesome chest. Isiah or stealth if you're lurking and have any input on the issue that would be great! (For the curious, there's one E, Erlang Shen, one L, Loki, one P, Poseidon, one U, Ullr, and one Y, Ymir) Some options from the pantheons we have now: Qebui, the ram-headed Egyptian god of the wind Quangeio, a Celtic canine god Quinotaur, a sea monster from the Celts in the form of a 5-horned bull Qilin, a dragon-deer thing of good fortune from China Qin Shubao, Chinese god of doors and gateways And some options from other pantheons around the world: Qiqirn, a dog spirit from the Inuits Quikil, one spelling of a Slavic trickster deity Qingu, a dragon god from Babylon Qamaits, a Native American warrior goddess and goddess of death Quaoar, a Native American singing and dancing creator god Quilla, the Incan goddess of the moon Qasavara, a man-eating giant from the South Pacific Edit: Oops.
