Figured out my group had been low-key betraying me for my stuff over the last 3 months.

3 months ago, I picked up DayZ again to try 0.62. I hadn't played since 0.45 and was blown away by the changes. I got my ass handed to me multiple times within the first week of being back, but still made it back into the groove. I was looting around Berezino, when I encountered a bambi with a shotgun. He injured me badly and chased me all the way to the crane to the west. There were two guys who saw me being chased and blasted the bambi away. They introduced themselves and asked me if I wanted to join their group. I decided "fuck it, why not" and we were off.

Couple of weeks later, we meet up in Stary. I had been looting military bases and scrounged loads of 5.45 for my ak. I mentioned it to the group and one guy, whom I'll name Chance, asked me for some because he was out of ammo with his ak. I gave him 90% of my boxes because I figured I wouldn't need them as badly and kept 3 for myself. We were waiting for squads to come from Novy and loot Stary. I was told to take point with my mosin in the treelines opposite of the military base. Only seconds after reaching a decent spot, I was instantly killed by someone on the base's side of the road. There was panic in comms as they searched for the killer followed by relief as they "killed" him. I ran back and they gave me my mosin but said they couldn't find my ak or my backpack anywhere. I shrugged it off.

Later in the month we meet up and loot Tisy. I got lucky and found a plate carrier, then later killed a sniper for his SVD. We got a message from one of our members that a well geared squad was camping Electro. We got in our car and headed south to the coast. Once we got there, I told them I'd be overwatch in the trees above church. Once again, not long after finding a decent spot, I noticed someone zig-zagging up the hill towards me. When he got closer, I saw he was wearing only boots and had an aug. After missing him a few times, he got the killshot on me. The group said they didn't hear much but went up to my body as I ran back. My SVD and my gear was completely gone. They said they saw someone running off with it, but couldn't find him after. I was a bit annoyed but shit happens.

Then last week, I joined up with them in Novo. Me and another guy, Chance, jumped a group of 3 at the entrance to the town. I got a fully decked M4 and Bongo got a shotty with lots of ammo. He wanted to trade, but I hated the shotgun. He reluctantly stuck with the shotty and we went about our business. Another member suggested we take the high ground to watch for more squads. I went to the hotel and climbed up to the very top. Just seconds after getting up there, I get peppered with an automatic weapon. I end up falling unconscious and bleeding out. When I got back, my body had despawned, but they claimed they couldn't find it anyways. I got pissed and logged off for the night.

Then yesterday, I was bored and looking at some screenshots Chance took of our adventures and some others. I get to one screenshot where he is showing off his character and loot barrel. Inside the barrel I see an SVD, plate carrier, and a few other items of clothing perfectly matching my outfit when I died in electro. The photo itself was uploaded only 5 hours prior to the death. I messaged him and asked if he had killed me that day which he admitted. He also told me other members of the group would plan to kill me or steal loot from me if they really wanted it.

I have been bamboozled.

Edit: They all know that I know about their bullshit. They have me blocked on steam.

How do you fix this godforsaken bug? It's ruining the fun for me, everything is low poly if I'm not directly up against it.

Hello there

Recently im noticing more "anti dev" posts being self deleted once we come up with facts and logic.

Are things on the turn?

Has the hate train run out of steam?

Or are we seing a shift of the impatient to other games like PUBG?

I understand the frustration many feel but it seems the fear and loathing is lessening.

Is it just a good day or is the advent of the upcoming patch taking the wind out of the "haters" sails?

For me, ill judge the full release (and possibly a patch or two)

Until then, im keeping the faith.

I know this game isn't about handholding but I'm really confused as to what I do. I really just run around looking for towns and such on the map and I'll find a backpack and run to the next one. I don't know how to find guns and most of the time I'll just die from starvation, thirst or sickness because I can never find what I need. So what do I do? How do people have enough time to mess around with their friends or even FIND their friends?

This will definitely spawn a ump. Basically when you have looted the tents near the dam. On the crossroad and on the turn to right there will be a car. Open the door and get as close as possible and press tab. There you will see an up. If you look closer it's on the ground in the middle of the car.
