Today was very embarrassing

While I was near a bandit but outside his aggro radius I opened my inventory and dropped something. The bandit remarked :

"And they call ME a savage! At least I don't drop things everywhere"

Can anyone help me find a location for nostalgic purposes?

Posted: 31 Jan 2018 05:44 AM PST

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I need help finding a place that I can't remember the name of. Long story short, my companion for what felt like forever in the game was Annekke Crag-Jumper. After many adventures, she suddenly died while I was on a quest. As silly as it may seem, her story of wanting to go on an adventure and helping me after I helped her kind of... Idk, made me feel guilty. Like I was responsible for this character's death. As a result, I recovered her body from where she was killed and, as this weird tribute, I moved it to one of the crypts in the location she died and basically "put her to rest". I took everything I needed with the exception of her armor and items, so this isn't a "please help me find my loot" request. I'd just like to see if I can find the place again to see if she's still there.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. The place is a dungeon of sorts in maybe a cave. I remember a small stream in the cave leading to a tunnel. That tunnel goes into the water, and you have to swim through to the other side of a chasm. On the other side, there's wooden scaffolding with a ramp that goes into the water as a part of the scaffolding. There's a table at the top of this area, seemingly sacrificial, and the next chamber (where I put Annekke) was a crypt with a raising floor with spikes on the ceiling and a shit ton of leveled draugrs. That's why she died, it was just too much to handle. I spent a good half hour trying to fight my way through with her living, and it just wasn't feasible.

I know it seems silly, first that I interred a video game character out of a sense of obligation, and second that I've thought about it enough to ask for help finding the place, but maybe that speaks to the impact video games as an artistic thing can have on a person. This truly is another world to get lost in, and I've enjoyed the adventure so much so far. I'm only 50 hours in over the last year or so, but I've been enraptured by all of the discoveries I've made. Anyway, that's another soliloquy for another time.

If anyone can help me find this place, I'd be extremely grateful.

Edit: Thanks a ton to /u/grundlage for helping me find the location! It was Forelhost, but unfortunately she was gone. Still cool to go back and find it, I appreciate everyone who chimed in!

A Skyrim Newbie...

Posted: 31 Jan 2018 07:28 AM PST

So for a long time now I've wanted to play Skyrim, but not being a gamer, and not having the money for it, I've never properly gamed before.

But after saving up, I finally bought a ps3 and Skyrim special Edition... yay!

**** I've never completed the storyline so no spoilers please*****

As per a friends suggestion, I altered from the main storyline and went to the Brotherhood to get a skeleton key, for lock picking.

But now... WHAT IS NEXT???

After watching some videos online and being constantly reminded of it by the guards, Dawnguard seems like an interesting storyline to follow, either that or the dark brotherhood.

What would you guys suggest?

This was the first time I visited Markath. I've no idea whether one of my mods caused this, but there are so many of them.

I introduced my student to Skyrim last week. Today, he cancelled class.

I really hope the two aren't related!

I'm an English teacher, and I mostly teach individuals. I knew my student was a gamer, so I created a Skyrim-themed assignment for him last class. It turned out that he had never played before, but he said that my assignment made him want to play Skyrim. I jokingly assigned it for homework.

I just got a message from my boss letting me know that my student cancelled today's class. Well, at least I told him to install the game in English!
