The EX system is broken in so many ways I'd put it right up with EA loot boxes as the worst game design of the year.

shows that Niantic is handing out Mewtwos to cheaters vs non-cheaters at a 20-to-1-ratio so basically what Niantic is telling us is if you want your Mewtwo start cheating.

Alright so storytime.

I got an ex raid pass for my hometown, Vacaville, CA, 10 days ago, but today was the first day of school in San Jose, about 100 miles away from home. I emailed Niantic support to see if they would do anything for me. They didn't respond, so i was debating driving back to Vacaville to do this mewtwo since I've been waiting so long for my first one and I've done 300 raids without an ex pass. I figured the time was now.

The raid time was 6:00pm-6:45pm. I left San Jose at about 3:40 pm for the raid, thinking that even if there was traffic I would make it to Vacaville. My maps told me at the time that it would take me about 2 hours and 25 minutes, so I went for it.

The traffic was absolutely terrible. I had messaged a group from the discord Vacaville uses and they agreed they would wait for me, so I had some hope. I paid $6.50 to take an express lane, and even had a friend with me so that I could legally drive through carpool lanes to get to the raid as soon as possible.

Eventually, the time came when I realized I didn't think I was going to make it to the raid because of the traffic. I told the group they didn't have to wait, and accepted I wasn't going to make it.

I made it to the gym at exactly 6:46 pm, 1 minute after the timer ended for my ex raid pass. I didn't even get to see the Mewtwo on my own screen or in the game.

There's no real point to the story, but I thought it was worth sharing because it was definitely a crazy adventure. Although it was disappointing to not even get to see the Mewtwo on top of the gym or anything, it will be something I remember. I hope my next ex raid is easier to do, and more accessible, than this one.

Niantic: Please remove Nidos, Victrebell, and Poliwrath from T4 eggs? No one raids them anymore.

T4 eggs already get the short-end by being the lowest in spawn distribution, but now any particular boss you might desire (cough cough TTar) is even harder to find now that there's 10 different bosses that could hatch from any T4 egg that actually spawns.

 

I am sure I'm not alone in those who have never been happy with Nidoqueen and Nidoking being added to the boss list since they were added. Why not at least remove those from the list? No one I know ever wants to raid a Nido. Ever. They could take out Victrebell and Poliwrath while they're at it, as the accessibility of those two mons is still relatively high, though of course I do not speak for all biomes on this. Nidos, at least, I am sure are numerous across the globe. So Niantic, why put them there in the first place?

Older Legendaries Should Still Spawn In Raids

I unfortunately missed out on pretty much every single legendary before Ho-Oh, so it'd be nice to still have a shot at them. Maybe make them very rarely spawn in level 3-4 raids so that people who originally caught them in level 5 raids still get to have that special feeling.

(Complaint) Something that needs to be fixed

Honestly there are a few complaints the game is getting right now, I'm talking about you ex raids, but one thing I'd like to see fixed is the stupid bug that makes Pokémon disappear. I'll load the game, then within a few seconds all the Pokémon are gone and so are the nearby. I know they do come back but there have been times I've missed out on some due to this bug. Seems like they should really fix this.

Very late to the party, I know, but my city doesn't have many uncommon/rare spawns. When I saw the Charizard on my nearby radar, I panicked because I only had 1 freaking ultra ball and no berries. Still tried to get it... Nothing. I had to go running to the closest pokéstop (I only have one in my neighborhood) to get more balls only to receive 1 normal pokéball, 1 great ball and a useless nanab. I was almost giving up, but still decided to give it a second try. To my surprise, I was able to caught it with the great ball, a simple good throw (not even curved) and no berries. Happiest moment I've had since started playing this game in December 2017. And also a little bit shocking because I've had Magcargos getting out of a Ultra Ball with a freaking golden razz berry before. Guess I was just lucky. :D
