Hearthstone - Streamer Sundays Weekly Discussion

Streamer Sundays Weekly Discussion

Posted: 18 Aug 2018 05:12 PM PDT

Do you enjoy watching streamers? Do you wish there was an easier way to find new up-and-coming streamers beyond the well-known, established Twitch goliaths?

Do you have a stream yourself? Are you looking to get exposure but not sure how given how Twitch displays streams and how one-shot stream promotion posts on Reddit tend to get ignored? Is anyone still reading these questions?

This thread is for you!

If you are a streamer or know of a cool, lesser-known (read: doesn't regularly pull in 1K+ viewers) streamer feel free to post the URL and a short, informative pitch about why you feel others would be interested to watch it. Why should someone watch your suggested stream rather than one of the hundreds of other streams out there?

The next great streamer might be just one comment away.

Enjoy!

In case you needed yet another reason to never pick Millhouse Manastorm in arena. I feel dirty.

An open letter

To the mcthun druid I just played in brawl,

You had 5 health, I had 16 damage on board. I didn't attack and let you win because you were playing a fun deck. We added each other after the game. Gg, I said, expecting a human being on the other side.

"Get sht on fgot. Easiest game of my life, free wins all day against r*tards like you" was your response.

I'm sorry your parents abused you. Itll get better if you seek help.

The (understandable) Druid hate is distracting from how bonkers Warlock is right now.

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 08:36 AM PDT

Look, I get it. Druid is a chore to play against and the most frustrating thing in the world for a control deck to get matched up against. Spreading Plague is just insane and the armor gain is ridiculous. Nobody likes playing against Druid that much. In fact I think this is the reason Warlock is being let off relatively easy. It's the class that can counter the Druids and make them question their life decisions.

The state of Warlock right now reminds me of Warrior before the nerfs to Execute and War Axe. The main complaint about the class was that it could do too much. It had a viable aggro deck, a viable control deck and a top-tier midrange deck (Dragon Warrior, at the time). Now lets consider Warlock. It has all of those, and they're not just 'viable'. They're all very strong. Control Warlock can beat pretty much any deck in the meta right now. Zoo is the same, as their openers can be so explosive. And Even Warlock gets to have the best of both worlds. I just think the strength of Warlock is being ignored because of how busted Druid is.

Just wanted to do a quick roundup of all the links I've accumulated since the first one (Grim Patron). there are actually 2 dead links ([[Yogg Sarron]] and [[Tortollan Forager]]), so it'd be nice if someone put those up.

Thanks again Blizzard for adding the borrow deck feature.

I used to be a competitive MTG player, but as time crept up on me and I became a father I retired that life. I play hearthstone pretty casually never been past rank 5 (dad legend), and I'm mostly ftp with a pre order here or there, but not every expac.

Tonight I booted up the game with one of my old MTG playtester/friends. He logs in only once or twice a month to HS and I play weekly. I had a few standard decks missing legendarys so we used the borrow deck feature, and man did we have so much fun.

At first I felt the nostalgia of sitting around a table in mtg playing your friends decks and helping eachother fine tune. Played some tempo mage, odd hunter, odd rogue. Odd pally. (I only have baku hahaha) murloc pally, token druid, shudderwock. etc.

I just truly felt a joy playing Hearthstone with friends I had never felt previously, also the first time feeling this way online over a digital tcg.

We just laughed about plays and gave eachother tips. Then to end the night we played a wild casino priest mirror. Yog cast the legend rogue spell to draw his whole deck, then my yog (the one she tells you not to worry about) came down next turn and won the game. Just had us in tears laughing, haven't felt that way about the rng since large mtg games of commander.

So blizzard, thanks for adding the borrow deck feature. Had an amazingly fun and wholesome time.
