Fallout - After spending countless hours perfecting a single settlement in FO4, I can't help but take offense when my settlers complain about "hard times" or how hungry they are. They live in a fucking resort compared to the rest of the Wasteland.

I ran Fallout 4's Opening through an online black and white colorizer algorithm and these were the results!

Link Organized from the end of the opening to the beginning, pretty neat stuff!

Fallout Shooting Showerthought

Posted: 18 Aug 2018 08:52 PM PDT

I realized that there's almost an in game explanation as to why the shooting in Fallout 3 is awful, a bit better in New Vegas, and pretty good in Fallout 4.

In F3 the lone wanderer has almost never used a gun except for shooting radroaches with a BB gun. It makes sense that when they get suddenly thrust out into the wasteland they suck at shooting since they don't have any real shooting experience

In NV the courier is just a courier so they aren't experts at shooting. However, their job is to travel the Mojave Wasteland, so it makes sense that they are at least capable with guns and know how to aim.

In F4 the sole survivor (male) is an army veteran so it makes sense that they actually know how to aim and use weapons capably.

If you know anyone who needs a voice actor for a Fallout mod, please pass my name on

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 12:55 PM PDT

Just finished voicing a mod for Fallout 3 and it was a blast. I'd love to lend my voice to anyone who might need it. I'm a 55 year old female who loves the Fallout series and plays it regularly. That was my first voiceover gig but I loved it so much I would love to do it some more, purely on a volunteer basis, just for the love of it. I can do anything from youthful boyish (think Piper-ish) to Raider (think IVY). Just wanted to get the word out there.

I'm just learning-- but I can supply a sample upon request. I hope this post isn't against the rules, thank you for reading. ~Yours in Fallout! -- wheeldog

Creepy whisper comes out of nowhere in Fallout 4

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 01:10 PM PDT

Hey guys, just thought I'd share something strange that just happened in Fallout 4, link here:

https://1drv.ms/v/s!AlHsuY0eu2gVlxemwWbs5HHUXR9F

As you can see in the video, I just jumped into the water at Libertalia, and this whisper comes out of nowhere. Call bullshit if you want, I know I would, but I swear this footage is straight from the built-in Xbox game DVR. Has something like this happened to anyone else? does anybody know what could cause this? I reloaded the save and jumped into the water from the same exact spot, and it didn't happen again, so it's not a scripted thing.

These encounters make Fallout 4 fun (Click for story)

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 12:59 PM PDT

I'm looking doing the Reunions quest, and I followed dogmeat. I fight off a stunted Yao Guai and when it's at half health two super mutants come out of nowhere and fight it. Then 5 raiders come out of no where fighting the Yao Guai and the super mutants. Then a couple of sting wings start attacking me and everyone else.

Playing Fallout: New Vegas for the first time. Bombarded with DLC as soon as I start.

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 02:03 PM PDT

I just started the game for the first time, and as soon as I start I got all the DLC popups. The quest ones dont bother me too much, its more the weapon packs. See, I want to get the full experience and not have the beggining of the game ruined by it being easier. Is there anything I can do to not get the items? Or a DLC that'll delay the weapons, not just the quests?

Thanks!

The Dunwich Building.....(F3)

I cleared out the Dunwich building late last night and I have to say that between the eerie soundtrack and the reavers my nerves were on edge. Love this game!

Far Harbor or Nuka-World?

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 02:51 PM PDT

I want to try both but i dont really want t dish out 40$ for both. Nuka-World seems fun but isnt it just a bunch of raiders and such? Is it like the General Atomics Galleria? Far Harbor has more missions and all the side quests. So final question which should i get?

The Great War was the best outcome for humanity in the Fallout Universe.

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 02:26 PM PDT

As the post says I believe the Great War was the best outcome for world in the Fallout Universe, and is one of the biggest lessons in the game that everyone glosses over.

When you think of Fallout's pre war political landscape you get a nightmare dystopia of a government run by a ethnocentric, xenophobic, corrupt few, who have no moral qualms about human experimentation and massacre to further their own goals and ambition. With things like the FEV, the New Plague, Big MT, and the Enclave itself, the world was going to go ever darker after the end of the Resource Wars and the new American/Enclave ruled world. The Great War offered a reset button, to undo the mistakes of the past and wipe the slate clean to a, hopefully, better future, where mankind can learn from the horrors and mistakes of the past and not repeat them.

Fallout 76 Power Armors without frames or fusion cores?

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 03:42 AM PDT

I did a search but didn't find anything about it.
I just realised this detail just now.

In Fallout 76 official trailer, at 2:17 player "wears" power armor like Fallout 3. But since Fallout 4, Power armors opens like a pod an you enter in.

Can someone rank all "vanilla" melee wepons in fallout 3 from Godly to garbage?

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 12:15 PM PDT

Everybody is mad at bethesda for breaking lore by adding jet to pre-war vault. However, obsidian broke their own lore in Dead Money addon. There is Hydra (chem, that was developed by legionaries) chem in the sealed Sierra Madre vault.

I used "Colorize-it" to make the opening credits of Fallout 1 appear in color.

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 12:57 AM PDT

Link here War stricken and lots of orange, seems like lots of fire and destruction. Pretty neat to see. Seems like the death at evening to me.

[GECK] Can't open exterior cells?

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 08:50 AM PDT

Hey,

I'm trying to make a small mod for Fallout: New Vegas on Windows 10, trouble is I can't seem to load exterior cells, I can load interior cells just fine but I cannot for the life of me open any exterior cells without a CTD, any ideas? I'd love to resolve this as it's an issue I've had for years and never found any info on.

This is what I mean

What’s the maximum amount of each special stat you should start with in fallout new Vegas to eventually maximize your stats?

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 09:49 AM PDT

I'm thinking with implants the spine and such you can get 3 extra strength throughout the game so never start with more than 7strength and lonesome road allows you to get another of any one special stat implants allow you to increase every stat by 1 as well what other things permanently upgrade certain stats?

Can you go straight to Fort Hagen and kill Kellogg at the start of the game?

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 02:19 PM PDT

So after you've left vault 111 and you have decent Gear do you have to go to diamond city and do you have to go to Kellogg's house in order to find them or can you go straight to fort Hagen and kill him there and basically skip that first portion of the game?
