Lately I've been feeling like the only person who doesn't have whisper so I gave it a shot. The first time I found a group on lfg I told them it was the first go and instead of kicking me one of the guys stayed back and guided me through the first couple of parts of the jumping puzzle. He had to push on at a certain point which was understandable.

After struggling with the jumps I did some reading, watched some video and tried a couple of times. Eventually solo-ing, I was able to make it to the first room. Not uber confident in my jumping skills but at least knowing where to go I looked for a group. Luckily in between the posts for $5-20 whisper carries I found someone doing it for free. I let him know my jumps were shit but he was good with me giving it a go as long as I knew the way. Well it didn't go so well. It took me almost 15 minutes and a lot of deaths to make it and the other two guys were on the last room by the time I caught up so needless to say we didn't make it.

I practiced some more and while waiting on IO a random group invited me and were cool about my ability or to be honest inability. The first time through was a wipe as the guy with whisper was explaining the jumps to his friend. Even with that we all made it through the puzzle. Next time through they both beat me through but we all made it with enough time to spare and I got the whisper. We even did the heroic. I came in third but made it quicker which was good.

Again I just want to shout out those of you out there helping others get whisper, complete raids...for free, especially those who are patient!!

Solstice gloves not dropping arc orbs in strikes

I haven't gotten a single orb to drop in strikes. Can't do heroics because my light is only 269 with every armor price equipped. Nightfalls ain't dropping them either. And yes I'm using arc weapons.
