Y’all ever see a dragon, equip your best bow and arrows, poison the bow, drink all of your best combat potions, and mentally prepare yourself, then the dragon just circles around for a few minutes and fucks off to nowhereville?

Honestly, fuck those dragons. I used some good potions for nothing smh

I just beat the main quest on Master difficulty using only weapons/armor featured on the promotional Dragonborn! (studded armor, steel sword etc.)

Real blacksmiths don’t need grindstones to sharpen swords... or chairs to sit on

Idk if this belongs here but I thought I'd share.

My girlfriend and I are both avid gamers. She doesn't really enjoy games with magic, preferring fall out and metal gear solid type games. This afternoon being burnt out in the game we usually play together, 7D2D, I suggested she play Skyrim and I would watch and help out. I'm incredibly overjoyed to watch her become entranced by the beauty and depth of the world, she nearly lost it when she killed the first dragon. It makes me so happy to finally have someone to share my love of this game series with.

Pretty sure telling a Werewolf that they smell is not the wisest of ideas. (In case anyone is wondering, i’m using mods that allow me to transform around people & another mod for allowing interactions.)

Any tipps for someone who plays skyrim for the first time?

After years of playing; TIL that if you are a vampire lord/werewolf around your guilds and factions, they will know it's you and treat you the same

Posted: 29 Jul 2018 09:31 PM PDT

I discovered this recently when I was in a skirmish with stormcloaks. (From the civil war immersion mod)

There was a bit too many stormcloaks and my imperial soldiers were dying, so I decided to go into my vampire lord form. First thing I noticed while transforming is that my enemy numbers stayed the same, as we decimated the stormcloaks, I noticed none of the remaining imperials minded me. None were marked as enemies!

The aftermath was bloody, but thankfully my transformation saved us. The surviving imperials lowered their weapons, and walk back to their posts as they usually would after a skirmish, but there was a giant bat-elf creature hovering next to them with a gargoyle minion. "No mind, it's just our legate." I was surprised I never noticed this, I could transform around certain people if they were in one of my guilds or military! Even the General himself was just speaking with this gigantic half naked creature of Molag Bal about his plans to stay in Skyrim, now that the war is over.

To go even farther, I transformed in the middle of a city guarded by imperials. It pretty much went down like this in their heads: "The citizens are attacking the Legate! Defend him/her!" I watched the scene of a massacre as terrified citizens were butchered by their own guards to defend their monstrous military officer... I am bewildered in their morality, I guess friends and war heroes come first.

After having my fun with this new information, I decided to see how far I could go, and it turns out these people already don't care that you're vampire lord/werewolf. You can strut your true form among them without consequence. These people are:

  1. Thieves Guild
  2. College of Winterhold
  3. Imperial/Stormcloak Army (As far as I know, the military city guards will only defend you if they see the citizens attacking you first)
  4. Dark Brotherhood
  5. Dawnguard?(I never joined the dawnguard side, i'm a big vampire fan, not sure if they tolerate werewolves let alone vampires)
  6. Companions
  7. Volkihar(Well duh)

I am currently testing if there's any more groups that allow your forms, if I find any more i'll leave an edit! Elder scrolls may have prejudice, but being a monster doesn't count!

Edit: Added the obvious

Edit 2: Certain circumstances are needed for the city guards to not see you as a threat. I believe they need to first see the citizens as a threat to you, before they realize that you're actually transformed and hurting people. My cloak of bats really didn't help if it accidentally hit them either.
