I made this out of pvc, floormat a and lots of trial and error, also a couple 3D printed parts like the sights and trigger guard All in all I'm pretty proud of it

My dad is currently obsessed with Fallout 4 modding. What's a good mod I can install on his computer for April Fool's Day?

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 02:55 PM PDT

So I don't own Fallout 4 myself, but my dad has recently become hooked on it and has started getting into modding, making and editing his own clothing mods for his characters among other things.

So just to shake things up for him a bit tomorrow, what's a good novelty mod I could install for April Fool's Day?

Fallout Shelter - Legendary Dwellers

Why are there no New Vegas characters in the Fallout Shelter ? It feels like Bethesda just went "What's that ? Vegas who ?"

I died on the Constitution...

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 01:51 AM PDT

I used the Jetpack to launch onto the deck of the USS Const. just as they were launching off the Savings and Loan... And just before it impacted the next building, it autokilled me. I was so disappointed.

Which Fallout game had the best intro, including cutscene and tutorial (Strawpoll)?

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 08:25 AM PDT

First impressions are everything. Every Fallout has intro cutscenes that help set the tone of the game, and tutorials that taught you much of the gameplay mechanics and let you build your character's stats. From having to find a way out of the caves outside Vault 13 to getting to experience pre-war America just before the Great War, each game had unique intro sequences that would prepare you for the wasteland.

Here's the poll, feel free to discuss your preference in the comments.

SPOILERS - mod idea/request for ending

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 04:05 PM PDT

I think it would be awesome if someone modded the end where you save your son Shaun. Like the real kid Shaun. Father is not your son but was planning on using the kid Shaun as his successor. Something like that.

The USS Constitution just made Fallout 4 to me

Posted: 30 Mar 2017 10:17 PM PDT

It encompasses what Fallout should be all about. A semi-ridiculous premise with amoral choices that leads up to... What I can only describe as honestly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in a Fallout game since I blew up Megaton in Fallout 3 just to see what would happen.

Fallout 4 does have a lot of "Fallout" in it but I gotta say it's far and few between. But anyone who criticises the game too heavily hasn't explored it well enough yet.

[Mods] Looking for a quick, clear and concise walkthrough for modding Fallout on PC.

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 12:21 PM PDT

As the title suggests, I'm looking to delve into the weird and wonderful world of Fallout PC mods.

I've found a few YouTube videos that go into incredible detail but I don't really have hours of time to watch the entire thing but don't want to miss out on any vital information by skimming through it.

I'm a total modding n00b, though I am aware of Nexus and have used the mods on the console version of Fallout 4. My aim is to give Fallouts 3 and NV a new lease of life as I'm sure you all agree they are visually quite dated nowadays.

So if anyone could point me in the direction of any material that would be useful, and also some must-have mods that will make FO3 and NV feel almost like I'm playing them again for the first time, I would be so grateful.

Thanks team!

Title Theme from Brotherhood of Steel.

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 11:28 AM PDT

Fallout Brotherhood of Steel is probably considered the worst game in the series, I however liked it, and it introduced me to the franchise many many years ago.

This was the main theme for the game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1kEzGs10Zc

It was done in the style of a 50's era song, but I figures since Brotherhood of Steel is basically forgotten about, not many people would've heard it.

I dig it, what about you guys?

Any way to change how my character looks after the initial creation screen?

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 01:28 AM PDT

(This is Fallout 4 btw)

Was using an alternate start mod and shortly after spawning I got mutilated before I could save (Survival + Difficultly increasing mods + Apocalypse spawning mods = Don't fuck with radstags). Spawned again and didn't bother rechecking my characters face while going through the S.P.E.C.I.A.L setup. So now my character has the same face, except her head is black and her body is very pale white.

Not exactly an issue thats come up before I'll be honest. Any good way to fix this without just making a new character?

Wastland whisperer perk is glitched..

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 10:47 AM PDT

On PS4 I downloaded a mod that allowed me to get level 3 wasteland whisperer extremely early in the game though when I try to use it the option to command is never there. Is there any way I can fix this?

FO4: Clicking around in V.A.T.S., I SWEAR it targeted something called "idiot"?

Posted: 30 Mar 2017 06:44 PM PDT

Any insight/help on this would be appreciated. Currently playing Fallout 4, and I was clicking around with my V.A.T.S. because I could hear a Super Mutant in the area (but for the life of me I couldn't figure out where he was). Before I locked onto him, though, my VATS targeted something (green) and it said "Idiot". I clicked away so quickly that I couldn't find it again. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? I can't tell if I'm getting trolled by Bethesda, or if I need to take a break from the screen for a little while.

Fallout VR reload mechanics

Posted: 31 Mar 2017 05:07 AM PDT

Has anyone heard anything about how Bethesda are handling the reload mechanics?

I really hope they have manual reload mechanics like Onward. So you have to go through the motions as you would a real gun. Have a button with a set animation for when we are feeling lazy would be fine.

I just hope they make the game as tactile as possible in regards to using your hands to interact with the world.
